Well, I guess I better poke my head in and introduce another cast of characters that will be cruising with you all in Oct.

We are Duane (me), Claudine (DW), and Ashleigh (DD, 11) Miller.

We are from the Raleigh NC area. And are DIS nuts like the rest of you. We met Cheryl, Al, and Rachel two years ago on the October cruise. In fact I remember meeting Cass here at the DIS before they had to cancel that particular cruise. Cass, its good to meet you again!

We look forward to meeting you all, and getting to know you over the next several months that lead up to the sail date.

Approximate Times for May 16th....

Pilot Arrival 5am

Approaching Gatun Lock 6am
Departing Gatun Lock 8am

Approaching Pedro Miguel Lock 1pm
Departing Pedro Miguel Lock 2pm

Approaching Miraflores Lock 2:30pm
Departng Miraflores Lock 4pm

Passing under the Bridge of the Americas 4:30pm

Depart for Acapulco 5pm

Weather prediction: HOT and HUMID.

Do we know what time the Magic will pass the Centennial Bridge? This one has a camera on it.

It will be before the other set of locks, so my guess would be about noonish if it was on schedule, but that doesn't look to be the case.

Does GoofyGuy's video have the time stamps on it? We could always see how long it was from when it left the last lock until it got there and count backwards.

I'll try to get some time to look at it later this morning.

I'll be missing it later today. Gotta get a move on it myself, have to leave to pick up "The Kid" in less than an hour.

It looks like such a tight squeeze.

The ship is considered PanaMax, which means it is the largest it can possibly be and still go through the Canal.

I think they scraped a little on the EB back in 2005.

The new ships will NOT be able to go through until the new locks are put in. They are too wide.

Someone posted the bridge was only about ten minutes away from the next set of locks, so most likely not until later this afternoon.
