This was my first try at posting a picture via photobucket. Not sure how I did it but will try again in the future to get the hang. Good night, or should I say good morning. Note that this is not a picture of Chris & Lynn. It's Morsel (L) and Munchkin (R).

Looking good Karen....half expected the stone face to start talking

I love him. It nearly killed Neil carrying it because its soooo heavy, but he is my favourite. You can make out some of the opther faces etc on the fence. In the old house they were all peeking thorugh bushes and plants - they dont look so good just stuck on the fence, but hopefully once the passionflowers grown they'll look better.

Karen.....got a card through the door, saying that a royal mail tried to deliver a package, but it was too big for the letterbox. Have to collect it on Saturday....but I'm guessing it's my special guest, come to stay.

Just kidding, but I am having DH's family (plus my mom) for the monthly family dinner on Saturday. That would be 11 adults and 3 kids for a sit down dinner at my house. The last time I had it, Pete was out of town on business, but this time he's home, and my Mom is helping out too so it should go smoothly, once I get all the cleaning done!

since its that time of year(our nephew has his first communion a week ago),
thought i'd give you guys a laugh.
notice how even at that young age, underdog was on the babe chase.
that was our neighbors daughter karen......come to think of it, she moved to england not long after that pic was taken.

Karen do you use regular 'table salt"? I didn't know that salt kills dandelions, I'd like to give it a try. Al doesn't like to use weed killer because of Belle

Yep - just regular salt. About a teaspoon on small ones. If its a big one which will have a big tap root then break off the top leaves etc and pour the salt onto the exposed main tap root. They're dead in 2 days. The grass does die around it but soon comes back.

This was from the ship's deck in port in NJ just before we sailed. Notice the NYC skyline and Lady Liberty. I was amazed that we could see this from the ship. I knew we were close to NY but I never imagined we'd have this view --minus the shipping boxes.

The Gatun Locks are on the Atlantic Ocean side, and since the Magic is heading west, these will be the first set of locks it goes through today.
