DH is on the way to the ER with DS. Someone sideswiped DS at an intersection. He told the police that he was fine, and they didn't take a report. Now that the adrenaline has worn off his side started hurting, and he showed his dad, he has some bruising starting on that side. Obviously won't be able to sleep until he gets home.

The person that hit it had a van as well, but they only had a ding in the bumper and a broken headlight. Just thankful that Dev was in my car vs his honda accord.

yep its true. st. robin would never tell a lie.

as for me...i'm in therapy. i meet with a support group twice a week with guys like me who've suffered a loss.

Nancy - I think you have everything covered. Do you have large bags to carry wedding gifts in back to the car etc? Would save you lots of trips if you have a roll of binliners. A box to carry the bouquet home in? Dont want it ruined or getting squashed - remember to ask the hotel to spritz the bouquets with water too or even better stand them in water if poss ..... we collected our bouquets the next morning from reception and they were all dried up and half dead with the heat of the hotel. They didnt last more than a day.

Spare camera batteries, cards etc.

Confetti/ rice? - do you do that over there?

Definately snacks - when I was bridesmaid we were starving all morning!
The brides mum had laid on a little buffet for us but we were so delayed at the hairdressers in the morning that we didnt have a single bite. My stomach was rumbling louder than the choir were singing

Bach flower remedy to ease nerves?

Good ideas Karen. We can't have rice anymore in most churches around here. Some allow only birdseed so that it gets recycled but Tony and Stacy are having small bottles of bubbles for everyone instead.

What is Bach Flower Remedy? How about straight up Vodka to calm nerves?

Devin is ok, Dr said it is just a scrape. My van on the other hand will need a new door, it won't even close. Sean said he was lucky he was in my van and not his car (honda). Anyhoo, thanks for the well wishes, off to call the insurance now.

Do you think we'll get the snow that's predicted, or will it just keep raining?

I am now getting water in on the other side of my basement - it's blowing in from the stupid dryer vent!?!?! Not as much as before, but enough to be annoying. Of course, we can't replace the vent cover until it gets warmer (and stops raining!)

Right now, I have plastic wrap covering the dryer vent to keep the rain out - talk about low-tech solutions....

No snow, just sunny skies and warm temps.

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes The Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms.

Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 am.

At 8:45am there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee.

He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule.

The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor.When they get there the line is so backed up that there are Tickle Me Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're
really beginning to pile up.

At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me Elmo's. She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles.

The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs.

The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter. After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches Lena.

'I'm sorry,' he says to her barely able to keep a straight face, 'but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday...'

'Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.

The position has been filled.
