i may be staying up late tonite.:thumbsup2

Good luck with that! I'm not sure that's the excursion I'd pick :scared1: :scared1:

It's not really the jungle, just a canoe ride through the mongroves. Here is the description:

Mangroves, Show and Lunch
Wind your way through a lush landscape of mangroves during a canoe tour of Cienaga De la Virgen and withdraw to Las Americas Resort where a hearty lunch and a folklore show awaits.

Sit back and surrender to the sprawling natural splendor of Cartagena as you embark on a 30-minute, air-conditioned motor coach drive — past a spectacular seaside panorama of sand and surf — to the beachside, Caribbean-inspired Las Americas Hotel and Resort. During your scenic trip, discover the fascinating history of the region from your friendly guide, and marvel at the breathtaking views that surround you at every turn. Upon your arrival, board your canoe and then embark on a remarkable guided adventure amidst the calm mangroves and still swamp waters of the Cienaga De la Virgen, considered to be the most important eco-system in Cartagena.

During your expedition amidst the unspoiled surroundings of Cienaga De la Virgen, lose yourself to the serenity of the calm water and secluded coastline as your guide paddles you through a number of shady mangrove tunnels. Revel in the natural beauty as you breathe in the sweet fragrances and marvel at the fantastic foliage that surrounds you everywhere you look. Glide around cool canopied bends as the warm tropical breezes wash over in every direction, and learn about the spectacular flora and fauna — some exclusively indigenous to this region — from your guide. Watch for birds as they soar high and then dive in the sky, and gaze down to the still water beneath you to spy a curious crustacean or colorful fish.

After your hour-long journey, return to Las Americas Hotel and Resort, where you are invited to savor the flavor of a refreshing beverage and a hearty buffet-style lunch, and enjoy the day as you so desire. Sunbathe on a warm sandy beach and drift off to the soothing sounds of the breaking waves or make a splash in one of three resort pools. Then, enjoy a traditional folklore show celebrating the history and culture of Cartagena in song and dance. Finally, after your near three-and-a-half hour resort visit, gaze upon the picturesque sights once more as you begin your 30-minute return trip — passing through the historic walled city — back to the ship.

TRIVIA QUESTION

A map of what island is on the forward staircase between decks 4 and 5?

I'll guess that it's a map of the current itinerary. :confused3

I had a unsettling experience this afternoon at Walmart. I was checking out when I thought I saw the person behind the mgr. station fall. I looked over and saw feet coming out from behind. At first I thought she had just fallen, but she was in convulsions. I alerted a very young cashier who started screaming for the other mgr. at the return counter. By this time we could see blood dripping at the woman's head. She must have hit something on her way down.

Several people started coming over, and I sent one to call 911. I asked the young men to move some of the furniture out of the way. When some people with two-ways who worked there came, I backed away. Two customers who I recognized as local nurses were also helping. The paramedics had arrived before I finished checking out. The woman was alert but very groggy when I left. The managers were questioning several people about how the woman had been feeling. I feel sure it was a seizure.

Of course, it all happened very quickly and DS was watching the whole thing. We talked about is on the way home.

YIKES!! Hope everything is ok now Tanya. BTW...I loved your story about the floppy dix!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I won't know for a little while. I did find out that "when" I get it, I may have to move to another building. If that's true, I'll miss our little family in Human Resources. Only 3 of us will be moving.

(I'll sacrifice for the money though.) ;) :rotfl2:

Good luck Robin. Hope you get that promotion. Got a job for the Goose? :3dglasses

I haven't watched it in so long. Did you know that 2 key characters have been booted off the show?

So Sean and I went out tonight. He surprised me and showed up at my work, which was nice because I think I have only seen him for about 5 min in the last 2 weeks.
We stopped off at Barnes and Noble and I got the new Julie Andrews book to read on the ship. She's actually going to be at DL this week signing her book, but I can't get the time off. :sad2:

I also got a book called Mistaken Identity. It is about the 2 college girls that were in a really bad car accident, and they identified them both wrong. The surviving girl was on Oprah with her family and the other family. They seemed like wonderful families.

Good Morning/Afternoon Karen.........

I'm here now :goodvibes Kira and I went to the mall this morning and had some fun with her aunt, uncle & cousin :woohoo:

For you crafty people in the USA, Michaels is having a REALLY nice sale starting tomorrow :thumbsup2 I'm gonna be shopping :yay: I got some Michaels gift certificates for my birfday and all the ribbon is on sale 30-60-% off  so I am gonna have some fun!!

My MIL and SILs drove to Spokane last night just to SHOP!!! They are having a girls shopping adventure weekend. They invited me to go but ummm...no thanks...I don't like to shop THAT much :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: They left at 2:00 this morning  Yeah, glad I passed :lmao:

Thanks for the heads up on Michaels! I need some new ribbon for my wreaths. I am tired of the old ones. Guess I will add that to my list of things to get done today.

Good evening everyone....

Well, we bought some shin guards for Thomas today - he has his very first soccer practice tomorrow! It should be fun - and the weather is supposed to cooperate also! I will definitelt bring my camera and post if I get any good pics. We came home, and I made tacos for dinner - yum!

I think it will be a "veg out" night....

:cheer2: Go Thomas Go!!! Both Woody and I grew up playing soccer. Woody also used to coach the 4-5 yr olds. We called them bumble bees. Their jerseys were black and gold and they would travel around the field in little swarms following the ball.:lovestruc Woody used to have to yell "3 feet" to let them know they needed to be at least 3 feet from the closest player. This saved a few kids from getting stomped on or knocked down. They threw a hugh party for him when he quit coaching. We still run into some of the families and it's really great to see how big the kids have gotten. They always remember Coach Woody.

P.S. We have got to see pictures!!

I've had this too.

Been 3 weeks now. I missed 3 1/2 days of work too.
Bad, bad cough finally lasting over 2 weeks finally brought me to the Dr.,
he said bronchitis and gave me strong antibiotic and cough syrup w/ codeine.
but I've heard lots of people with it and they say it's a virus.

In any case most people say it's lasting about 3 weeks.

So, take it easy Andy, you've got a few more weeks to go:sick:

Yep, Woody is going on week 2 right now. It just keeps traveling between his chest and head. I am about ready to shoot him and put us both out of his misery! ;)
