thats pretty cool jen. we didnt have one last cruise.may have to check into it.

Last cruise I actually used a trick-or-treat bag, but I got into the DIStag game sort of at the tail end. This time, I have lots more time to plan...which could be a bad thing, since by the time we cruise we'll only be able to bring one backpack each on the plane! :lmao:

Yes, I like the "Buy it Now" buttons, especially when there is something I really want, like the recent "Memories of Walt" litho I was able to snag. :)

As long as the buy it now is reasonable, I like to use it. Of course, I try not to ebay too much anymore - it's addictive!

Below are a few pics of the litho and pins our DISfriends gave us last evening, we were so touched that they thought about us during their recent cruise. Hazel and I are heading to AC Moore to get a frame for the litho this afternoon.

I know, I was on eBay this afternoon, but I was a Good Boy!!!

I wasn't able to post a pic of our dog when everyone was posting pet pics, so here are a couple. This is Moose; we got him at a shelter in Salinas, CA. He is a mutt. What breeds do you think he has in him? The shelter had him listed as a Sharpei/Chow mix--two breeds that I would say he most definitely does NOT look like.:lmao:

I know, not only that but they also invited us to their annual Christmas Party this coming December 20th. Their oldest son graduates from high school the same night Angelina graduates. We invited them to be our guests at the April 12th show of The King and I.

We've only known this family since January, and it seems like we have known each other for years and years, the Magic of Disney!!! ;) ;) ;)

i think she's taking a test for her online class right now.

hmmmm, wonder if i could get robin to wear one of those school girl outfits (like britney spears wore)while she does her homework.pirate: :cool2:

Speaking of math, our school is considering not offering Algebra at the 8th grade level next year. (Let the kids wait and get it at the high school.) DD will be in 8th and she took pre-algebra this year.

My question is did your kids take algebra in 8th? Our HS has gone to the trimester system so she will still have time to work up thru math thru Pre-Calculus if she can.

I'm really disappointed that our school system keeps making moves that hurt regular and high-achieving kids to document that efforts to help the slower kids, really to meet NCLB. That's why the HS went to the trimester--to give more chances to pass classes for those who didn't the first time around.:confused3

A regular kid could take Spanish I fall of freshman year and not take Spanish II until spring of Sophomore year or later. How much retention would their be? The same is true for lapses in math classes.

Sorry to vent, but what are your schools doing now?
Thanks, Tanya

I'm rather sure Angelina started doing Algebra in 7th grade. That year she was two points short of passing math for the year, but since Angelina stayed every Tuesday and Thursday after school for extra math help, the teacher gave her the two points she needed to pass for the year. In 8th grade, Angelina again passed math by the skin of her teeth by just one point.

The funny thing is, Angelina did not have to take math this year, but she decided to take it as one of her electives, don't ask me why.......:confused3

Just a quick check in from MG.

We're trying to get the house in tip-top shape for the Stag party in two weeks and the wedding in three but our flooded basement is taking precedence. We rented 2 super-duper fans and it's like a wind tunnel down there.
:

did someone say stag party???:cutie:
what time does tony want me to be there??:lovestruc :lovestruc

Our 8th graders take algebra, then in high school, depending on their skils they take Algebra 1 or Geometry.

But what are our schools doing now? Wondering what the heck we are going to do to support those children after school hours with programs, since the Terminator AKA our Govenor totally cuts the education budget.
