Ok, now I'm really going to bed. Night all!!

I'd be in shock, if I owed that much....:scared1:

Some of them are. But then I have one client who owes thousands and is still funding his 401(k)'s to the max ($15,500 each) and will be putting $4,000 each into an IRA. That's $39,000 to retirement and a few thousand dollar tax bill.

Man, I'm in the wrong line of work I think. :sad2:

So why do people wait until the last minute to file their taxes this year?

I'm still working to get them out.

To top it off, most of them owe big time. $3,500 on one, $2,250 on another, and at least 2 more that will be in the thousands as well. They leave no time to get the money together.

I have a friend at work who's husband didn't tell her that he went exempt for more than have the year last year, and now they owe 11,000.
The sad thing is, is at the beginning of this year she found out that he cheated on her, and she is still stuck owing half of that balance since they are married.

Andy, thanks so much for the notice about the ABC special. I watched it and then went on to YouTube and watched most of his lecture. Wow!

I really want to share this with my BIL. He is still trying to get the "plan" to deal with his liver cancer. We have heard some positive stories, so it may be better than we had feared.

Anyway, I think this will lift his spirits. Thanks!

OUCH!

This is another reason why I will not do only one side of a divorce. You can't trust the other spouse.

Note: Tax 101 follows, so feel free to skip if you want.

I have one, possibly two, returns coming in this weekend that are only one-side of the divorce (don't think I need to explain why each is divorced now, do I? :rolleyes1 ). Anyhow, I'm comfortable doing one of them because I've done him and his ex-wife for several years. The mistress on the other hand, I don't know her well at all and never met the ex-husband. Don't think I'll take that one.

Turned one away two years ago as well. The wife went somewhere else and under the laws in WI, they are to split income 50-50 up through the date of the divorce if there is nothing in the decree (they had the state do the divorce, so it goes by state law). Her accountant already filed hers without the allocation. The hitch comes if they notify you of the income earned through that date. Then you have to claim it. He eventually went through her accountant.

So Jeff do you think you will be starting thread 5 by the end of the week.

Meaning by this Saturday? No - unless you ladies get chatty tomorrow night. I've seen some Friday nights go 20+ pages.

I'm thinking next Tuesday or Wednesday.

:coffee: I see everyone has said their goodnights. I get home from work about midnight so my day continues for a couple hours. :surfweb: It's strange :confused3 to think you all are actually sleeping as I type this note. Hope you all get a good night's sleep. Especially the newly engaged couple. :lovestruc See you later TODAY.

Time to hit the sack, as you all have done earlier. I'll be up again in a couple hours to see my wife off to Curves (excercise) and then work. I'll check in then to see who the early birds are. I know, there are some who have several hours start on the day according to the time zone you live in.

Oh, Chris, so sorry to say that I went to your website to paypal you $20 and that site doesn't exist:rotfl2:

Just pay it straight to me and I'll see they get it...:rolleyes1

You really have a soft side Chris.

Most of my ex colleagues would disagree dear...:lmao: :lmao:

That was scene one?

I thought about making such a comment when our dear Nancy said "and i burst in with the Camera"....Yes am naughty and i'll go stand in the corner until Aunt Nancy say's otherwise...:rolleyes1

This questions for the ladies:

If your husband rearranged the bedroom while he was home from work today and you weren't, how would you feel about it?

Would it matter if he moved in a way that you've said for months you wanted to try it in?

Just wondering how Suz will react when she gets home and goes up to the room.

She's been wanting to move the room around and put the bed by the window and the dressers on the opposite, long wall. Since we're getting the new mattress this weekend, I thought I'd have fun and move it around for her today. Actually makes a lot more room in there.

I think Suz was thinking more along the lines of "out with the old fella and in with the new one"......:rolleyes1

ps...Simple rule i follow is "Only do what your asked to do when your asked to do it" anything other than this get's a "not like that" or "no not there"...in our house....:rolleyes1

You forgot about mine...$3000
(I got a deal) :woohoo: (It's amazing what a little sweet talking can do.) ;)

(And a little "personality" doesn't hurt.) :lmao:

"little personality" ....:lmao: :lmao:

All am saying is had Robin been in the waters off Newfoundland around 4.00am on the April 15, 1912
