Good morning everyone!

The kids are eating breakfast and in a few minutes I will be taking them to the bus stop.

No snow here, but I am in the warmest spot of the state in the winter. The Long Island Sound really affects our weather in winter. When most of the state gets snow, we get ice and rain depending on the storm track.

This afternoon we will be in the single digit dance! :woohoo::cool1:

Chris, I watched Suday's episode of Extreme Makeover - it was in Suffield, CT. Did you have anyting to do with that one?

Question for my previous cruiser friends...

We want to make some Tropical Caribbean DISNEY music to listen to once we cross over into Florida on our trip.

Does anyone know a good source on the internet to download these songs??? (I can't check itunes here at work - any ideas would be greatly appreciated!)

Looks like you already have the playlist covered - WOW! Looks like DJ Nancy took care of that! As for the source, I used Limewire to get the majority of the songs I have on my Ipod; you just have to be kinda careful with it, checking that they aren't garbage or links to something, but actual songs. Then you have to listento the whole thing to make sure it's a good copy. But, it worked great for me! :goodvibes

Anyone have any idea who your cruise director is going to be?

Julie Mc Coy? :goodvibes

Having lunch at home with Elaine. We just exchanged some coats for the kids coats program. Been busy and haven't even been to the office yet!!

I was there to work the canteen the night the build started. I really didn't do anything, but was there for 6 hours.

I always wonder when I watch that show how the people make out after they're left on their own. Can they affford the taxes & upkeep, etc? The makeovers are so elaborate - it might be overwhelming to some families. Still a good thing for ABC/Disney to do though.

The house locally that was featured earlier in the year, I know the family is doing pretty well. I actually saw them at the Suffield build as they were watching and we chatted with them a bit. The taxes are about what it would cost for to rent a 2BR apartment. I can't remember how much, but i want to say about $5000/year. The house was exceptionally green with a geothermal heating and cooling system, solar cells, etc. I would imagine that utility bills would be very low for a 3000 sq ft house.

They have had a lot of community support.
