Good morning everyone. Just catching up on the thread. The Yankees won and are up on the Angels 2-0. The series now moves to Anaheim.

The kids are bugging me to get them breakfast. No Perkins in town, so its up to me! :lmao:
Oh! I almost forgot - I picked up some new sunglasses today! Now, just to let you know, I plan on LOSING these the first day of the cruise. They weren't SUPER expensive, but they are nice, poloarized lenses and more expensive than my normal $5 ones.... I ALWAYS lose the good ones!!! :rotfl2:
I am kicking around the idea about buying some sunglasses. I didn't have any all summer as I didn't want raccoon eyes, but I might have to get some for the cruise. Tracy and Sam are getting their pedicures on Friday morning, so I may head to the mall with them and pick up a pair.

Yay on the 300 posts!!!

I was going to say you could pick up some flip flops for Hagan at a Walmart in Florida, but you are flying in. If you want, I'll be happy to pick up a pair for you - just give me some details and I'll be happy to do that on our way down! :-)

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I was going to offer to do the same thing Angie--I think our Walmart still has some flip flops left----just let you know gstroop!!!! I'd be happy to look for ya :):):):thumbsup2

Hey all! On our way to church but wanted to pop in to say say hi!

I think our walmart still had some left so I'll check here before we leave as well!

It is currently 39 degrees and super windy!!! Very unseasonable for this time of year! Brrrrrrrrrrr!

Good night Matthew. Glad you posted those pics, but now I want to be there.:rotfl:

Can't wait to see all of the people that we've already met again, and all of the "new" people that we have met on the boards. I swear, it won't feel like we're meeting for the first time since we have all been chatting for so long.

Matthew :yay:

Well Good morning everyone :hippie: We are playing a trip to my SIL (that is where my little one is staying while we are gone) :thumbsup2 and then we might hit the apple orchard :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Stayed up late and worked on my dis tags  Does everyone put their names on them?????? I think I will have everything ready and put the bags together on the ship--so they dont get squeeshed :headache:
Still not packed :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I'm a last minute kinda girl :lmao:
Hope everyone has a great day----only 5 more days :woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

OFF TOPIC:
Want to start doing a game night with friends, first one being on my birthday. Don't have a lick of board games in the house and need some ideas of some good ones to purchase. I need them to be anywhere from 4 people to 20

Wow what a cool idea!

Always have some kind of trivia game, they're so much fun.
And how about Scattergories, that's fun too.

They have some games out called Scene It, and similar types where you watch clips on tv and answer questions about those movie clips.

Sunglasses - ick!! I have lost one pair in the ocean... another pair at girl scout camp when I tipped over a canoe... me + water + nice sunglasses = lost sunglasses!

Well - headed off to bed (for REAL this time!!) I was hoping to stay awake to watch SNL with Gerard Butler (LOVE LOVE LOVE him and his awesome Scottish accent) - but not going to make it.

Night night all!

AAAaaarrrrggghhh! The HORROR!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Beth and I went down for a "quickie" trip while our girls were visiting their grandparents. We stayed at Saratoga Springs. We took a dip in the pool before the Magical Express came to take us to the airport. While I was changing in the bathroom, I set my sunglasses down on the sink. I never picked them back up. I realized what happened 20 minutes later. Needless to say, they were gone. Nobody turned them in.:headache::headache::headache: They were Maui Jim's and I had just bought them about a month before this trip. :headache::headache::headache:

Unfortunately, they are not the first pair lost at WDW.

Matthew

Happy Sunday morning everyone:woohoo:

I only have 3 more work days left and I so can't wait to get out of my morning office (too much tension with a few of my female co-workers:headache:)

Dave did one cross-stich and I got it for a wedding present 15 years ago. It's pretty big too. I like to do big projects as well. My college room-mate showed me how to do it and I got hooked on it ever since! Need to get back into the hobby - it's really relaxing!

That what I made for our last cruise tag gifts. Our green mickey head logo with the Konked Kruisers on it. I made them into ornaments.

OMG, though, I had to do I'm thinking we only did 20 last cruise?, I waited a bit too long to start them and then had to hurry to do 2 a week before we sailed.
My left wrist started going numb before I was done and I was afraid I'd developed carpal tunnel syndrome.

I think the biggest one I ever did was a full size monopoly board - but it wasn't difficult and there weren't a lot of stitches. My most complicated (and one I'm MOST proud of) was the one I did for my dad when he retired from the Air Force. I did one of the seal of the Air Force

(here is a link to a finished copy - this is not MY copy - it's one I found on google: http://militaryxstitch.com/AFEmblemST.htm

The other one I did was one of an Indian Chief. He was a Chief Master Sargeant when he retired (after 30 years) and everyone called him Chief. So I did them both, framed them in a double mat and gave it to him at his retirement ceremony... It's my proudest one...

That's very sweet of you Angie, it must have taken a long time.

I know it's therapeutic for me - I just start sewing & kinda unplug my mind for a while. I used to take it to work & hide in the conference room for an hour a day to detox.

Do you have to use reading glasses to do it?

Guess I'm getting old but I definitely can't do them anymore without wearing those. Can't even thread a needle without getting out the glasses.
:headache:

It does appear to be girls nite. ALthough, I am heading to bed VERY soon. Been up since 4am. Didn't even take a nap. Got Harrison, Julia and me packed.

I get up that time every morning and some mornings earlier if they want me to work overtime on the front end.

So staying up late will be hard for me on the cruise.

I drank lots of Pepsi last night to stay up late with Bob but fell asleep by 10pm, so I'll have to try harder on the cruise.:goodvibes

How come whenever I finally find time to get on here and catch up and post,
no one else comes out to play?:sad1:
