Piccies????

I will have to have them put the mum and boutineer on when they have another football game this weekend when I am with them. Kristen my dd is not good about getting pictures and I was at the Harley rally all weekend.

My next door neighbour just come a knocking on the door with guess what - my documents :thumbsup2
We are officially going.

Well this morning is doctor time for me.. :scared1:

I will get all the results from my tests and see where the diabetes and thyroid are at, I was finally able to get a family doctor here in Okotoks and will finally have regular visits to make sure I am on schedual with things. I have been terrible and haven't had my tests done for almost 2 years since my diagnose :scared1: (Bad Bernie) I have this fantasy that the doctor will finally admit I need chemical help with my thyroid and give me a pill that will help the weight come off (been the same weight for almost 20 years no matter what I did).

Wish me luck!! lol :thumbsup2

:hug::hug:

Hope things go well...

BTW - I have had thyroid problems since 13, and been fighting my weight since that age. Right now I'm losing the fight...:headache: but I'm still trying to be optimistic. ;)

GOOD MORNING!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes
Our DOCs are in transit, should be here later on this afternoon. We'll see. :cool1:

WOW - what a weekend! DH told me there was a Harley rally (not sure if that was what it was - they were a big group of riders) in York, PA this past week where he had his meeting, he said the Harley factory was in the area. :cool2:

That's great!!! I've been hemming and hawing over joining WW - a friend of mine might join together...to keep each other honest and on track. How do you like it so far?

I was a fan of Lost - but they're losing my interest. I still have 2 last episodes saved on Tivo from their last season that I didn't watch yet. :rolleyes1 Gonna check out FF now, sounds good!

Yes York is where they make Harley bikes. We went there this summer. Walt and I are lifetime members of Weight Watchers. Neither one of us are at goal now but I still go to the meetings every Thursday. I like it. The meetings give good idea and we have great friendship.

Mornin' All! :surfweb:

I don't have my docs yet, either. :confused3

Where will I find the DIStag room list? I know it's too late to participate, but I would like to know where you are all at. We will be in 7578.

Thanks, and have a great morning!

Hugs to Jen and Bernie!! Hope they figure it all out soon!

That's excellent Karen - that's the 1/2lb from last week plus an additional 2lb. See what you can do when you put you're mind to it.

I know it works when I do it properly. I'm trying for a really good week this week too. If I lose 2lb for the next 2 weeks I'll actually be at my 1st goal and will have lost my 5%:yay: I need your support still though Miss Conscience:hug:

Karen - can you let me have the recipe again please.

I'll dig it out for you again:thumbsup2 - it truly is my saviour

 Hi Karen!

Karen - YAY on the weight loss!!! I'm starting an "only drink water and NO soda" diet today... gotta get a few of these pounds off!!

Angie

Thanks Angie and good luck with those pounds:thumbsup2

I got all my DIStag bags done this weekend...one more thing to check off the "to do" list!

Whats in them?:rolleyes1

I can honestly say if you do it properly and stick to the rules of the points then yes, it works great. I did it a few years ago and stayed at goal for 18 months. Its simple to follow - just use your allocated points and no more - add in a little exercise (I just walk because of my bad back) and you soon see the pounds drop off. My only problem is we eat out a lot.:rolleyes1... I dont choose wisely when we're out. :rolleyes1, hence my weighloss is slow, but I'm getting there slooooooowly:rolleyes1 Give it a go:thumbsup2

Great job on the weight loss. :yay::yay::yay:

Thank you:goodvibes

Nothing with nuts....that's all I will say! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Darn it, I thought I might catch you off guard and get you to spill the beans:rotfl:

I really appreciate everyones consideration re the whole nuts thing:grouphug:

I even have lovely tablemates who are willing to sit with us in the nut free zone!:grouphug::goodvibes:thumbsup2

Talking of which - please if anyone can spre a thought or prayer for Ellis tomorrow - he's at his annual allergy assessment - the last time he went he actually called the nurse "vicious" to her face:rolleyes1:rotfl: - I was mortified (and so was she!:rolleyes1)

He needs allergy testing for cats now too:rolleyes:... what else can my kid throw at me:rotfl2:

At Weight watchers today the talk was about 12 weeks to chrismtas and how sensible eating and a 1 - 1 1/2lb loss each week means you could be a stone and a whole dress size smaller.....

Not if you cruise in 2 1/2 weeks I thought:rolleyes1

I havent told her yet:rolleyes1

The last time I cruised I gained so much I was embarrassed to go back and stopped weight watchers altogether:sad2:

This time I'll warn her before I go:rolleyes1, bite the bullet and get straight back to sensible eating once I get back.:thumbsup2 ....well, thats the plan anyway:rolleyes1, just depends how much Little Miss Piggy stuffs in her mouth while she's away!

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: for Ellis, and you!

No way you're getting me to spill the beans!!!

Good morning-afternoon everyone.

I actually able to post at work because of a no show appointment. Should have my documents at home when I get there.

So who caught Amazing Race last night? My favorite teams are the best friends (the 'duck whisperer') and the Globe Trotters.

I am going to San Francisco this weekend for a friend's birthday. We will be on the Gold and Gold fleet having dinner under the Golden Gate bridge and around the bay- a nice preview for our upcoming vacation me thinks.

Looks like the weather is turning from really hot to 70ish this week and slight chance of rain even. Very cool. We need it.

Thanks for the dust stuff Jen:hug:

It was worth a try though wasnt it;):rotfl2:

Hey Karen,

Do you ever cook with quinoa (I am sure I spelled that wrong). Do you watch What Not to Eat? I am addicted to that show. Anyway, Jillian pushes this grain on a lot of people. I made quinoa stuffed red bell peppers with spinach and parmesan cheese and it was delicious.

The weight watchers books have some good recipes too.

I am stuck at an 8 pound loss since last month. So frustrating!
