Morning H ! Congrats on the Googley. :thumbsup2

Thank you N. Sure is quiet round here.

Mind you they are relaying the road outside our house today, so it's not that quiet.

Heather must be off updating her siggie line with her newest :sail:

Hope everyone has a great day. :yay:

I am not sure what the Tiara Tart thang is all about but here is a picture of a little tart I found hanging out at my house today!! I don't know if she is too young or not but she wants in! :lmao::rotfl2:

Rose,
You are right the other cruise lines are much cheaper to Alaska. But you really need to ask yourself what you are getting with the Disney Cruise.

I just bought my Mom a cruise to Alaska. She said that she was CONSTANTLY bothered to spend money. They had people running by her dinner table trying to sell roses, Incessant waitstaff hawking drinks, Free roomservice? Fugedaboutit, Let's talk stocked refrigerator with overpriced foods and drinks. Speciatly restaurants, yes, but one of them had the EXACT same menu as the cost included restaurant.
Boiled down, she said that she had to work constantly to stay at budget as things that they wanted cost money (not just the cost but the overpricing of objects)

I'm hoping nothing has changed with Disney but my experience was that if I wanted to spend money there was plenty to do so. But in no way would my vacation been diminished if I decided to not spend anything. There was no pressure to spend on the Magic.

Now, not being bothered on my vacation is HUGE in my book. And worth a great deal of money, but besides that I'll bet that after spending what a Disney cruise would have cost you in the other guys and all the extras that you have to buy, you'd come up close to even.

Just my $0.02

Thanks for the info:goodvibes

My parents took a NCL cruise out of Houston in between their two DCL cruises. My dad thought he got a great deal on the NCL cruise, but when it was all said and done he said he paid about the same as his DCL cruise. When they were docking in Cozumel on the NCL ship, the Magic pulled up alongside and they were having serious separation anxiety. They were comparing their tiny 108 sq ft room with the virtual mini suite that is standard on DCL. They were thinking of the whole DCL experience vs. the NCL one. They did enjoy their NCL cruise, but they felt that DCL was a much better product.

You should have seen the tiny twin beds they had on NCL! The ship they sailed is no longer in the fleet, but wow, in a word tiny!!!

I'll be having that separation anxiety when we sail on NCL Spirit in May for Bob's sister's wedding cruise.
You're right though that the price isn't that much cheaper, but this was their choice for their wedding and I'm sure we'll still have a good time but I'll be doing the checkup/comparison thing the whole time we're there. Bob will be probably telling me to be quiet about it:rolleyes:

:woohoo:What will YOU be doing right now, one month from now???:woohoo:

I'll be returning from Jetty Park watching the Magic come back. :yay:

Oh, I want to do this too:yay:

But we'll see if I really get up at that hour or not:rotfl:

June says:"Have a great time..... I'll be sleeping"

Hi Joanne and Rose and anyone else lurking...

:hug:to all the ill people..

:hug:for Robin and Mike.

I'm off to the doc's (neurosurgeon) this afternoon. Fingers crossed that he releases me and I only have to go back once a year.

:wizard: pixiedust: for you!!!!

Thanks. This will be my first attempt at going alone. Rob has a meeting, and it is killing him to not be able to come with me, but I told him I am a big girl--lol. I think he is just a little over-protective when it comes to this. Well, and in the last day or so, we have found out that our high school friend (Rob's college roommate), Jason, has been diagnosed with the same type of brain tumor I had. He will have surgery on Tuesday down in New Orleans. The docs say that it is most probably benign, but we are concerned for Jason because the tumor has attached itself to the brain. I was lucky, my tumor was not attached. It was just pushing on my brain. Jason is an executive at a bank, and one of the most intelligent people we know--super nice to go along with that. He and his wife have three small children. So I'll transfer my "dust stuff" to him if it's ok with y'all.:thumbsup2
