Yeay!!!

We have a private van hauling us to the port also - we plan to be there between 9:30 and 10am! It worked out really well last time. I really dislike driving in unknown, busy places, so it's worth it to me to pay someone else to driove!

Yep, Laura and I get in more fights whilst driving about in unfamiliar territory.

Yeah we went there. I got some awesome pictures from our visit. Elaine's aunt and uncle are both retired air force who were stationed there at Robins AFB.

Here is my favorite picture I took that day...or a couple . I am an aviation nut and military nut.

Exactly 7 weeks from now, I'll be getting the kids ready for school, then spending all that free time packing to go. Then once they're out, were outta here!

I'm with you! I'm so excited that I'm driving Teresa & the girls crazy! Only 8 more weeks! Only 7 more weeks! Only 50-some more days! I'm a little hyper myself!

Got worried about the towncar's ability to hold all the luggage. So I changed it to a Limo. Only $40 more. Still, Laura's gonna kill me.

I think that I'm going to have to work on my poem soon. At my current rate of posting lately I'll reach 3000 posts long before our cruise. Currently I only need 5/day to do it.

Yeah that B-25 Mitchell was in mint condition. She looked like she came right off the line and could fly. I bet she could!

I am one who like hanging around airports to see what kinds of planes I might see, especially large airports.

Chaz, when we were driving to Georgia and on the Beltway around DC I told the kids to watch out for either a big blue and white plane, or a green and white helicopter. Not thinking we would actually see either one, I just told them to keep them busy. While crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, this is what we saw flying up the Potomac on its way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

My wife's school had Career Day last year (actually every year), but one of the dads is in the National Guard. He's a crewchief on a UH-60 Blackhawk; and they flew it to the school & landed it in the middle of the parking lot! Then the let the kids at the school go thru it for a few hours, and then they took off. The kids got to see the whole thing! I asked Teresa why she didn't call me; I would have left work to see that!

Hey Jen! What grade is Thomas in?? My Abby (11) is going into 6th grade and was just diagnosed at the end of last year with ADHD and Aspergers (both mild cases). She started meds right before the end of school and I can't wait to see how much they make a difference (little nervous about middle school... and how that will affect her)

Pictures please??? (We don't start school until NEXT Tuesday)

Thomas is starting 1st grade....he was diagnosed at the end of last year so we didn't put a lot of accommodations in place for him. So far we're not doing meds - we want to see how school goes with just the behavior modification stuff we're doing plus some classroom accommodations. I want to make sure he enjoys school - I think it's so important.

Good luck with middle school - I've read a lot about ADHD so far, and a little about Asperger's, and it's an extra parenting challenge to be sure. Does your DD have an IEP or 504 plan? We are going to request an IEP evaluation this fall.

If I left it that late I'd be panicking. I'm an organiser, and a list girl,... put the two together and you get a paranoid woman who packs everyhting "just in case" and has the cases locked a week before we travel

That's me too
I make lists all the time too, but I can't say I'm all that organized anymore,
it went away a few years ago.
Now I have an organized mess.
