heard on the radio the shuttle launch was cancelled. they will try again friday.
if they dont make friday....the next possible date would be in Oct.:rolleyes1

The wouldn't wait that long. Also, don't they have one between now and the cruise? That would be our better chance.

But then again, remember it was suppose to go up on our sail away day? Only to launch on that Tuesday (or was it Wednesday).

Wow, there are no other launches scheduled between now and the cruise for a shuttle.

There is a rocket set to launch on the 31st when we get off the ship.

Hey Virginia folks - I apologize for the lateness of this, but apparently, my hubby and MIL have changed where they want to go shopping this weekend and have decided to go to Potomac Mills instead of Leesburg. I think the kids will be happier since there is a lego store AND a Disney Store Outlet at Potomac Mills, but I hope that doesn't throw anyone else off.

We plan on getting there when they open (probably) and if anyone in the area wants to meet for lunch, we will probably eat something in the mall.

Lori, Paige, Beth/Matthew - interested in meeting up for lunch or a quick hi?? ( I know you are working until 2:30 Matthew- I fear we may already be headed home by that time...

HEading back to my LOOOOOOOONG meeting......

Potomac Mills is actually a more convenient location for us than Leesburg. Although I will still be at work, Beth and the girls should be able to come. I'll PM you to set up details.

we'll see. wouldnt mind seeing one again.:3dglasses
I heard it was something about other countries missions to the Space Station that would push it back to October. I guess we have to wait our turn now! :lmao:

There was a launch on our last cruise. I got a pic from inside the terminal.

We were suppose to have one on the KK cruise that would have happened after we boarded, but before the life boat drill.

If it were to happen before we boarded, I would have headed out to the parking lot. Great pic though.

Thanks! The CM's said we would have no problem seeing it and they even had the blinds behind their counter pulled all the way up so that they could see it.

Hindsight being 20/20, I would have rather been outside too. If it was an hour later, we would have had a wonderful view from Topsiders. I got this picture from lunch at topsiders.

Wouldn't mind seeing one for the first time.

This has been Rob's dream for 10 years now. We were really close one year in 2000 but it was scrubbed and rescheduled and we missed it.

Him and Kira watch all the shuttle launches on Nasa Live TV and they do a big countdown. Yes, he is a geek ::yes:: :lmao:

Tell him he can have his trip to see a launch when you get your trip to go storm chasing in the Plains. :rotfl:

Thanks for the link Cass.

Now that they have started, shows the darn plans already. Or did I miss that somewhere.

Nope, they haven't released any information about the ship

I figured Captain Tom would be there. I believe he was there for the Magic's keel laying too. That probably means he won't be our Captain. Do you see, he is actually smiling??? :lmao:

Well he is the Master of the Dream after all, he should be smiling :goodvibes Lucky man, this will be his third ship launch :thumbsup2

He would want to go with me on that one ;)

We've tried 3 times to see the launch, even bought passes one year but they were all scrubbed :headache: He gets happy watching from home, can you imagine what he would be like watching it there :rotfl2::rotfl:

With our dollar being so good, we exchanged some CDN cash for USD today so now we have money to eat :cool1:

Having USD makes the trip real for me :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Having US Dollars makes it real for me too. Better go pick some off the tree. :lmao:

 I can not wait. I am driving my family crazy. To be fair it is not a very far drive. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

That's too funny!!! Got your message - good to hear your voice. Will be in touch soon!

Before I go....looks like more tropical storms heading towards the Florida coast. This time TS Danny

Yes, we too are watch "Danny" - for obvious reasons!

BTW, to those of you who know Andy (Veranda Man) and don't have him as a friend on facebook, you might be interested in knowing that his m other was recently hospitalized, but is home now. I don't recall the details without going back to Facebook and I don't know if he still lurks on this board.
