Is Destin east or west of you? It's the east side of the storm that's the worst, right?

Destin is 15 miles to the East. Yes usually the east side it the worst, now that I work from home I can't even take a "snow"day!!

Good night all, going to spend the last night of DS # 2 summer vacation. he will now be a senior in college!! In may both kids will be done with school/grad school!!!! More vacations for us!!!!

Hey everyone...things picked up I see while I was away watching True Blood. It was an amazing episode and I literally held my breath for the last ten minutes. There is just something about HBO shows. The writing is top notch!

I sent a PM to the trip report moderator to request to have my pre trippie moved to the DCL forum trip report thread. Since we are not going to WDW except for MNSSHP and that is even post cruise, I thought that would be best. I will post a new link once the move actually happens.

I GIVE UP!!!!!!!

The girls and I have been working on part of the FE gifts all afternoon and have had so much fun doing so. Since we were in a cruise kind of mood, I decided to start making my fish extender. I followed the directions for the "no-sew" kind and after 4 hours of working on it, I have to say....

It looks like my 2nd grader could make one better.

So, after putting it almost all the way together, I realized - there is no salvaging it and it REALLY looks bad (I mean REALLY!!)

Ebay.... here I come. That's what I get for trying to save a few bucks. The $30 FE (had I purchased it on ebay FIRST) ended up costing me about $70 (+ my time!!!) Oh well - now I know that's not one of my strength!

Just a general question on Pirate Night. Of those that have cruised before, what are your views on dressing up for pirate night? Do people go all out or is it very low key?

We just wore pirate t shirts last time. Probably the same this time (if it still fits!)

I suspect Burnley will put up more of a show on wednesday night than that shower of tripe did today,Karen tell Neil to go to as many games as he can this year because Birminghams stay in the big boys league on today's showing is going to be very short lived......

Busy day yesterday.

Neils back at work today and Ellis is off to Nanny's for the day so I have the house to myself

Weigh in today at WW - dreading it - I've been sooooo bad since we came back, culminating last night in pizza, onion rings, garlic mushrooms and 2 slices of cheesecake

Today I start again though. I think I'm back to where I started when I joined WW.

Nancy and I are headed for York Beach today and will be back tomorrow.
Weather man says it's going to be 85 to 90 degrees the next two days so we dicided last night to call and see if we could get a room at the Lighthouse Inn wehere we like to stay when we go down on a whim and we did. We have to work on that tan for the cruise.
Everybody have a great day. Joanne and Roger be safe in the storm.

If the eye hits to the East, you get wind. If the eye hits to the West, you get water. That's the general rule of thumb where we're from in Louisiana.

It looks like the eye went over Ft Walton around mid night. So it has been pouring all night. If this is as bad as it's going to get I hope the rest of them are the same. Didn't sleep much just listenned to it rain!! Pool is up to the top! There are two more lined up put there Anna & Bill. Anna should make it to the gulf by Friday and hopefully Bill will just stay out in the Atlantic!!


The oldest is going for his CPA and the youngest is a Political Science major Luckily he is going in to the Airforce or who knows what you do with that!!
