Some of the castle - now a ruin - burnt down 200 years ago. Parts of it date back to 1070, Norman times.

There was an owl display - the trainer got the owls to fly just over our heads on the lawn. Photos are rubbish as it was travelling too fast

Good morning all!!

to Joanne! Hope you don't get too much wind/rain. My mom said it was just getting dark there about an hour ago and they are west of you a bit.

Karen - LOVE the pictures!!! Makes me want to visit England all the more! What amazing history! (My girls love the castles!!)

Not much going on here today - just work. Tomorrow night is Abby's middle school orientation Actually should be fun - lots to look forward to!

Hey all our Virginia BoBers!!

I am going to be heading up to the Leesburg outlet mall on Saturday, August 29th with my family for some school clothes shopping. If anyone in the area would like to do a meet, we will be eating at the Food Court there (it's nice... and we need to save some $$ for the cruise!!!)
