Forgot, use the US Postal Service to send home any purchased items or overpacked items. Last trip, mailed four packages...;):thumbsup2

Walt :cool1:

On our last trip we had to have cold and warm weather gear. I think we will need to do the same thing. Even rain gear will be used. Walt just told me it is raining where we are going. I cant believe it. It has not rained for months here in Texas. Everything is so brown. It is also very hot here. 102 degrees.

Laura and I talked about excursions today. We think that we'll still do trunk bay but on St. Maarten we were going to do a tour that I'm not sure that we'll do that now. I've got to look into on-your-own things to do. I want to cut down expenses somewhere. I'm having a bit of difficulty saving up enough money right now. I'm replacing Laura's vehicle with a more fuel efficient one but that carries expenses of it's own.

I understand. You have to be choosy since they all are alittle pricey. Get the best excursion for the buck.

Don't do it too often Karen. You body will start to store food as it thinks you are starting to starve.

I had plenty of food - just lots of free stuff

Banana for brekkie, zero veggie soup and grapes for lunch, different veggies for dinner with grilled bacon and rice

Karen - I forgot to eat Eli's cheesecake!!! Oh no!!!! But I did eat authentic Chicago Pizza - from Edwardos. YUMMY!!!!!!

 You're just going to have to go back and try it next time;)

Just got off the treadmill...the cruise is getting awful close and I have waaaaay too much to lose. :scared:

Maybe Karen can give me a pep talk. :worship:

Dont look at me! - I struggle with 10,000 steps each day:rotfl:, I managed 10,800 yesterday - it gives me 1 1/2 extra points:thumbsup2

We have a free window, afraid of the Peeping Tom's on the ship :thumbsup2

Walt

:lmao: Us too:lmao:

What is up with this heat??? :scared:

I dunno.... I'll tell you if we ever get any:rolleyes::umbrella::umbrella::umbrella:

Good morning peeps:goodvibes

Last day of:teacher::yay::woohoo::banana:
It's interesting how different your schools and ours are different schedule wise. Here we have been out technically since June 3rd and start back Aug 10th., and you just now are getting out and go back the beginning of Sept? :confused3

Yes, we go back 7th Sept (I think!) we get a long time off over Easter compared to US though.

Is Sarah feeling better today?

It's Humpday Wednesday everyone. Can you tell I'm trying to cheer myself up?

Since this is supposed to debut in October, and we are the last cruise of October, we should see it, right?

That's what I'm thinking and hoping.

Had a BLAST in Chicago!!! The night before we went, I called Amtrak and upgraded to a Family Sleeper car and had SUCH a relaxing trip (highly recommend it!)

Got to Chi-town late on Thursday morning, went to lots of good workshops and the general session and we found out what all the new fall products were going to be. They presented it in a play format - a la Snow White - except it was called "Snow Lisa and the 7 Elves" - really cute!!

Thurs night - went to Edwardos for authentic deep dish pizza. YUMMY!

Friday - I played hookey and didn't go to ANY workshops. I walked around Chicago, went shopping (saw the American Girl store and the DISNEY store!!) Went up into the Sears Tower (waited in line for 2 hours, but TOTALLY worth it!!) Then walked by their theater downtown to see if they had any cheap seats to Jersey Boys - they had ONE left for $25 - and I TOOK it!! Saw that show and it was good (not great, but good)

Saturday - was a good girl and went to all my stuff. They had drawings throughout the days and with over 3000 people there, they only drew for about 30 prizes overall (mostly $100 in Pampered Chef products). The last drawing was for a laptop. They gave away 3 of them. Guess who won one of them???:banana::banana: ME!! (So if anyone plays Bingo on the cruise - sit next to me.... I win ALOT of stuff....)

Went to the WhiteSox game and had to leave before it was over to catch train home. LOTS of fun!!! Hot dog was YUMMY!!! (Had orange soda since I don't drink beer.... :sad2:)

Came home on the train - I upgraded again to a small little roomette since I had to work on Monday and it was worth EVERY penny!!! Slept like a log and got home late Sunday night.

Whew - quick report and I posted some pictures on Facebook... will try to post some more here once I download them into Photobucket.

Have a great rest of the day!!:cheer2:

Thanks for your min-trippee Angie. WOW...congrats on the Laptop. You caould be our lucky mascot.:rotfl2:

Since we don't have to worry about little kids, I'll leave that up to those who will be busier. We're good with anything. Were we still thinking about the stairs in front of Lumiere's?

What about a sea day...perhaps just before Thursday lunch date? I like the idea of the stairs Nancy.
