Had a quick call from DS # 1 yesterday. They made it to Amsterdam safely. Hope they have fun. Not thrilled with the kid he went with but hopefully they won't do anything dumb!

How was your week end?

It wasn't bad, Joanne. We had Rick's parents over on Saturday for lunch and they left around 6.30pm. Discussing cruise holidays for them. They have got the bug now. Didn't do much on Sunday - tried to upload a load of photos for my MIL to print and it didn't work and started on my FE gifts. Got 6 done another ?? to go!

He is 23, so I guess he is old enought o figure it out!! It's hard not to worry.

We didn't do much either, Pool time yesterday until the thunderstorms. Did some dusting & vaccuuming.

Joanne-- I will join the "mama's worried" club with you and Nancy. We just bought Emily a plane ticket to go see her friends in Monterey. She has only 1 layover but it's at LAX. The small town girl in me is scared to death of that city (and everything that goes with it).

I did the FE once, I am so not creative so once was enough. Me too I am ready to relax. In May there was not much relaxing, had to make sure the ladies got to do what they wanted!! It was still a lot of fun but too much planning every day.

Welcome. It never gets any better. Lax is not bad, lots of security and the terminals are close if she has to change. It's old though so the restaurants and waiting areas are not the greatest.

Thanks Paige!!! This is exactly what I needed for planning.....

Pete is doing the regatta, and I am doing the under 2 flags tour, but we want to take Thomas to the beach in the afternoon, but also want to make it back in time for dinner 'cuz it's pirate night. This helps SO much!

She is a pretty strong and independent girl. Rob has every confidence that if anyone were to try to "take" her, she yell like crazy. See, he thinks like a dad, worrying about physical harm. I worry like a mom/woman, not only for her physical safety, but also for emotional safety. I would hate for some pervert to try to talk to her. (Of course that could go on anywhere, not just at LAX.)

Once again--small town girl. I would have never thought to do something like this when I was just 16.
