What a great looking group! Loving the pictures and happy to get my WDW fix (haven't been there since Nov 2006 :sad1:

Good evening all....

How is everyone? We're ok here....just trying to make it through another week.

I am getting together with the in-laws and out-laws on July 5th so we can plan shore excursions. We'll see what we might want to do together, what we might want to do apart, and then get it all organized so I can book everything when the 90 day window oens up.

Here's a cruise question - can I book excursions/Palo/spa for my in-laws at 90 days if we're all linked and we're all paid in full?

:cool1:

Woo hoo (I think)... I had actually been excited about the late seating so as to not feel rushed, but in reality, we eat dinner at home around 5:30/6:00, so it's really more reasonable to be in the early seating. I guess our waitlist request was granted.

Cool! NOw I just have to tell Cass to update us on the BOB site.
For my first two cruises, I have always had early dinner and never felt rushed. I prefer keeping to my usual meal time.

Thanks for your awesome BOB site, Cass - it is chock full of great info.

I did something on a whim this afternoon.... I booked ANOTHER cruise!! Ok - havne't even been on my first one yet and here I am booking another one!! Cruise is not Disney (:sad1:) But one of my dear friends is turning "almost" 40 and we wanted a girls getaway without the hubbys and kids.

Found a 4 night Bahamas cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line in December 2010 (Hey... I plan ahead!) for less than $650 for BOTH of us!! It goes out of Miami, but we can drive and have a road trip as well.

ANyone ever sailed Norwegian? ANy thoughts? I know it's not a good as DCL, but for 4 nights with no kids, should be FUN!!

Yes, I believe you can :thumbsup2 When I went to book parasailing last time, it had a list of ALL linked ressies and I could have booked Mike, Robin, Jeff, Karen, Walt & Di and Lori for parasailing too ;) I wasn't feeling that generous though :rotfl2:

You can also use their ressie number and sign them up with DCL (using their info like bdays etc.) and make their ressies for them. That's what I did for my inlaws last time since they were clueless about everything :rolleyes1 I filled out their online forms and booked what they wanted for them :thumbsup2

Also, at 75 days, you can book a table at Palo for up to 4 people, you don't need to give names, just book your Palo ressie and it asked for how many people (up to 4) :thumbsup2 I will be booking our Palo dinner at 75 days for 4 so that Bernie and Sean can join us :goodvibes

Excellent! Since they are not returning cruisers, they can't book themselves until 75 days out. Plus, I'm pretty much the "family cruise director" meaning I'm taking care of practically all the arrangements. At least that way, I know things are getting taken care of! ;)

Sigh....

I'm looking through the DCL excursions and the port links on the BOB website...still trying to make some pics for excursions.

So, here's my next question...if I am not planning to shop for anything expensive (jewelry, perfume, etc.) is it worth it to plan some shopping time? Are there local markets, or is it just "duty-free" shopping?

Great Question and sorry, I don;'t have an answer for you - but I have the EXACT same question!!:lmao: Any former cruisers can help??

St Thomas has a fantastic shopping area right at the site where we dock called Havensight Mall. There's duty free stuff as well as typical souvenirs like t-shirts and things like that.

There's also a straw market type shopping area when you get into the town area (Charlotte Amalie) with home made gifts and trinkets and necklaces and stuff.

St Maarten has a downtown/shopping/dining area when you get off at the second stop on the Ferry. You can walk up and down the street to find all different kinds of stores. I wouldn't wander too far away though, stay with all the tourists. You can also find tons of shopping and dining on the French Side in Marigot :thumbsup2

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

I'm off to finally eat supper :thumbsup2

Since Karen is probably still in dreamy nap time, she will have to read this when she wakes up.... I just saw an artice online that Kodak is retiring it's oldest type of file - mostly due to the advent of digital photography. Here is the link.

Funny thing - how many of your kids now want to see the picture immediately - they don't understand how you had to "send out" your film for development?? Anyone here remember the flashbulbs that only had 4 or 6 at a time!!! Ah... childhood memories!

My first couple of camera's as a kid had those flashes, and they were expensive! At least for a 10 year old!

Googly????

Yay!! IKWYM about the flashes Chris - I never understood why there were more pictures on a roll of film than flashes on the camera.... mysteries of childhood.

Ever have a Disc Camera??
