We finally got our Safari Club memebership card in the mail today (For Rainforest Cafe and other Landry restaurants) but I'm a little miffed because the certificate it came with expires in August! So we have a $10 certificate that we can't use and we can't give it to anyone either because it needs to be used with the Safari Club card. :sad2:

Shore Excursions.....

Anyone started looking at them? I think we have picked out what we want to do at CC and St. Thomas/John, but I'm stumped on the St. Maarten one. Any suggestions? We aren't really "beach folk" and the girls dont know how to snorkel (we are going to do that at CC - along with Parasailing).

To give you an idea - on St. Thomas, we are going to do the Coral World exhibit on our own, as well as the Tramride up to Paradise Point.

Thanks for any suggestions! :-)

CASS!!!! We missed you!!! You missed a few hundred posts... nothing much! :confused3 Get to work and catch up on it, woman! :rotfl:

Hi Angie

LOL, yeah...don't think I will be able to catch up :rolleyes1 I will go back a few pages though :goodvibes

Jen did you get an email, or did you just check it? I am checking my ressie now.

I checked on it - the last time I flew Airtran they changed our time more than once...and they have changed them for both ways on this one. Going down isn't a big deal - 2:14 PM instead of 2:24 but coming back went from 12:16 to 11:44 am. I was hoping if they moved that flight it would be later instead of earlier.

Hey Cass! Hope all is well North of the Border.

Things are good...it's been so nice here, me and the girls have been spending lots of time outside walking and playing at the parks and stuff :thumbsup2

I have a day off because it's Dani's 2nd birthday today and my sis took the day off so it's just me and Kira today. We went to have breakfast with her Uncle Ken at Ikea this morning then we went to the mall and played in the little kid area. :goodvibes

I haven't decided on any yet, so I'm no help. I was thinking of possibly doing a city tour at St. Maarten.

If I can drag myself out of bed, I will be there every morning to watch them :thumbsup2

I am a deck 10 walker. I am an early bird and DH is not, so if any one wants to walk before breakfast you will find me up the top deck with all the guys in yellow setting up chairs and drying the floor. I always take the stairs too! I even take the shoes off and go barefoot when dressed. In may I put mom & sis in elevator and then met them.

Evening all

Well I wake up early as well, so I might see you up there Joanne.

As for shore excursions, we are just taking a taxi to a beach so Kira can play in the ocean and sand. I'm not a beach person either...my nick name used to be Casper, me no likey the sun :sad2: but I will find some shade so she and Rob can enjoy the beach :goodvibes

When Kira is older, I would love to go to Trunk Bay. For now, she can't go on the Disney excursion because she is too young and I'm not sure how she would handle the long ride over there. We're happy to stay on the ship until noonish and then go to a beach for a couple of hours :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! Long time no see/talk....

I've been lurking but haven't had much of a chance to post. The boss is out of the office today, so I might drop in a little more.... :goodvibes

Welcome to any new cruisers I might have missed.....I'm Jen (nicknamed Jen Mouse by a good friend of the BOB), and I will be cruising with DH Pete, DS Thomas (6) and a bunch of assorted family members and in-laws.

Well, I got one more pre-cruise task accomplished yesterday - I reserved and paid for my off-site parking at the airport. We're flying out of Chicago Midway, and there's a secured lot nearby where you can park and they shuttle you over to the terminal, and it costs less than economy airport parking. We used it for our Oct. '07 cruise and it worked out very well (especially since I HATE driving into airports!). Well, yesterday I got an email with a 10% off code, good through October 31st! Perfect! So, one more thing done.....even if it's a boring task.

Excellent news Jen. It sure is getting close.

I'm a little nervous to see what our bill will be at the end of the week. I don't drink and DH only drinks beer every once in a blue moon, but it's all the LITTLE stuff that is going to get us! :-) I just remember our honeymoon back in 1994 when we were poor and got the bill at the end of the week - WHOA!!!

But it's a trip of a lifetime remember.

I'll have to dig for some of my sunrise pics. I do know that the best sunset we've seen far outweighs any sunrise. It was in Cartegna Colombia. Heather will agree with me there. I'll have to find that pic too.

Yes, I agree, it was beautiful.

We might do the DCL boat and coach tour.

I posted on the main DCL board and I guess I should post it here as well - anyone ever done the "Under 2 flags" tour at St. Maarten? It looks really neat, just don't want the girls to be bored....
