I think someone just said they had their photo taken and it is used for re-entry to the ship, similar to so many other cruise lines nowadays. The picture doesn't usually print on your card but the ship's staff can see it on their screen(s).

Thanks for all the other info, too. I actually PM'ed Jeff the other day so I'm sure he'll get to it soon enough - not upset, just some good-natured banter.

Morning all - it was Joanne!

Good morning people:goodvibes

Well, it finally stopped raining yesterday evening after 22 hours of constant heavy rain, only for it to start again 5 hours later and its still raining as I type:sad2: Its dropped from 22degrees last week to 11 this week. Back top jumpers and jeans from sunbathing in my cozzie last week.:sad2:

Not sure if I should be shopping for flip flops or wellies at the moment:rotfl:

Morning Karen - We have a beautiful start to Sunday here in London, but boy did it thunder and lightning last night.

I initially got up early to do my wii fitness coach, leaving Neil and Ellis snoring, but within 10 minutes they were both up and in my way so I stopped.

Is Dissing calorie burning?:confused3:lmao:

If it was I'd be real skinny:lmao:

I do have thin fingers with all the typing:lmao:

Its just the rest of me that needs a workout:lmao:

:rotfl2:If only Karen

Yes, thank you! I still haven't gotten to the point of remembering all the "who's who", but I knew I read it. I would have gone back and searched first except it often takes f o r e v e r to load pages here lately. I'm not sure if it is the board, my machine, or a little of both, but it can get frustrating waiting sometimes...

Can someone either explain (or point me in the right direction for more info re:) the Dining Rotation and how one goes about choosing? I read about linking dining reservations and would like to participate IF we get our seating time changed.

We are currently assigned late seating, but DH is a diabetic plus with the little ones the late seating is just too late. If we are unsuccessful in changing (I know I can try again once on board if not changed ahead of time) we'll have to do alternate dining rather than dining room most if not all nights. Some kids are ok with changing bed times, others not so much...we'll definitely have one of those "not so much" kids with us! :scared:

Good morning/afternoon all!

I'm sitting here alone. Rob has the duty today.:headache: I have only a few more days until I leave for WDW!!:cool1::cool1:

From the FAQ thread....

Dining Rotations - You will not know your dining rotation until you check in at the Port. It will be noted on your KTTW card. These are examples of rotations that were used on recent cruises to give you some idea of the possibilities.

As of 4/4/09 Magic cruise there are only two times for dinner, 5:45 and 8:15. Navigators have not been seen to confirm any change in the available rotations.

7 day Eastern Cruises [rotations per 3/14/09, times per 4/4/09]
LAPLAPL 5:45 and 8:15
APLAPLA 5:45 and 8:15
PLAPLAP 5:45 and 8:15

Typical Special Theme Schedule - per recent navigators [Please note these can be changed at DCL's discretion.]
Formal Night - Sunday
Pirate Night - Tuesday
Semiformal Night - Thursday

Good morning everyone. To quote my deceased friend Mr. Fred Rogers, "It's another beautiful day in the neighborhood"

I am worried I am going to be stuck inside most of the day, but thank goodness for long days and late sunsets! I think I was out with Jay until almost 9:00 PM last night. Good times.

Any chance you can call DCL and try to be "waitlisted" for early rotation. I would think they would accomodate you as best as they can given the situation you mentioned.

We had pirate night Tuesday also, since it was so close from Tortola to St Thomas we were barely moving, he did have to find clear sky thought beacuse of all the clouds, so one minute St thomas was on the right, then it was behind the ship, he did a very good job so we could see them.

We were waitlisted for early and did get it. I still don't know which I like better, I found with early I did not eat as much since I was not starving at 6 and having to wait until 8 to eat. But it was very rushed getting to dinner at 5:45 and there were lots more little kids in the shows.
But I didn't not gain a pound so that was helpful but not many frozen drinks either since the weather was yucky.

More Tortola pictures, didin't have much time to shop since our excusion was back at 4 and the ship was leaving at 5. I made it back at 4:45 rushd to shower and get do dinner. My pirate night picture are in the other camera so I will have to wait for DH to load.

Here's more Tortola, we went to the reef first to snorkle and then to a beach you can only get to by boat. It was nice to be on such a small boat we got to stay longer, we saw the DCL excusion more like a cattle call leave about an hour before we did. I have always been afraid to do non dcl excusions since I don't want to miss the ship. But this one was great.

We ordered room service since I had to off the ship by 8 and the ladies had to meet their tour at 8:30.

I know, I'm dense...I read that, but I'm not sure what it means exactly - does the rotation mean you eat at different locations on different nights, as opposed to being in the same dining room each night? And, do you request which of the 3 times within early options (or late, if late seating) or are you simply assigned a slot? And, does linking reservations mean that whichever one is assigned the whole group will be assigned to the same rotation?

Distag delivery

ok people, I am trying to incorporate everyones wishes - how about this?:confused3

I sort the players into deck order and give you a list in that order. You start under your name and tag 5 a day. That way, you should only be going to 1 or 2 decks each day rather than all over the ship.

So far we have:

deck 2 - 3 players
deck 3 - 0 players
deck 4 - 0 players
deck 5 - 5 players
deck 6 - 4 players
deck 7 - 5 players
gty - 4 players
still to be advised - 2 players.

Does that suit everybody?:confused3

To answer someone's question (sorry cant remember who asked) - yes we play on all days not just sea days.
It only took us 5-10 minutes to deliver and that was all over the ship last time. Ellis and I used to love playing knock and run as we delivered our goodies:rotfl2: It was fun trying not to get caught delivering! We used to do it either before or after dinner or after brekkie.

In answer to someone elses question - they can either be the same gift for everyone or you can adapt it depending on who is in the room you are tagging, ie more of an adult gift or child gifts etc. You do not have to give a gift to every occupant - just one gift bag per room. Its up to you what you put in each bag. Eg. my gifts will more or less be the same for every room but I might add a little extra child gift eg stickers or sweets for the kiddies etc.

If anyone wants any more advice please pm me.

I hope this is ok with everybody.... otherwise, I'll be having nightmares about tagging:rotfl2:

Since I've never played before whatever you all agree on will work for me,
I'm easy:goodvibes
