Ok, snack/Dora time is over...time for the beatings :rolleyes1

Lovely photos Cass. They look so alike.

Good afternoon (evening to UK BOBers). Star Trek was simply amazing. I don't think it could have been done any better than it was. It is a total reboot of the franchise and is a true prequel.

Welcome aboard! I am Christian and I am cruising with my wife Elaine and children Samantha (9) and Jay (7).

Excellent Chris. Can't wait for Sunday.

Ok, a poll in honor of the new Star Trek movie....

Name your favorite Star Trek (any one - old or new) movie and why you like it.....

Here's mine:

Star Trek 4 - The Voyage Home

I loved the part where Chekov (with the Russian accent) was asking for the location of the "nuclear wessels".

If you're not a Star Trek fan, pick any movie you like!

Yes, got to agree with you. Hello Computer!:lmao:

There are even a few product placements in the new Trek movie, but they are done well.

since we wont be around tomorrow ....

Happy Anniversary Walt and Di.

safe travels..cant wait till you guys get here next month.
finally...a mini dis meet in ohio.:grouphug:

I would have to say the new one is my favorite. If you watch it, you just might agree.

There is a scene in the new one that pokes fun at Chekov's accent.

Wow - that's a recommendation! I will have to tell DH we need to get a sitter.

That part was funny too! I really liked the humor in that one.

I also really likes First Contact - when the warp ship blasted off to the tune of "Magic Carpet Ride"! Excellent!

There are a lot of subtle nods to the past, but yet the film is set in the past, so it all works well. It's good to hear Dr. McCoy's cynicism again!

Those of you that liked Star Trek the Wrath of Khan. If you remember that when Admiral Kirk shares how he beat the Kobyashi Maru test, he was eating an apple. Remember that when you watch the new one!

Ok, I'll shut up now!

My DH Sean went and saw Star Trek on the Imax today. He said he will definately be buying it on DVD. Yeah like that was a surprise....;)

so does anyone know what their Mothers Day plans are?? It was my Mother in laws turn to pick a place, I picked a french bistro in Canmore last year..LOL

I can't stand to go out with all the crowds, So my friends and I float and the men and boys- we all have boys- cook and make frozen drinks!!
