1980 is old???

Our house was built in 1945. All rooms only have 2 outlets, and our closets are tiny, but apart from that, I love it. Our house in Maine was built in 1989. It had plenty of outlets, but all of the rooms except for the huge sunken living room with cathedral ceilings were on the small side.

I am going to be painting the garage this week, doing landscaping to really dress things up. I think I may take down the shutters and paint them as well. They are a little faded.

See!!!!! thats what I want... to paint when I want! fix things.. have pride in what is MINE!! lol

and 1980 isn't that old but Calgary and such is crammed with new developments all the time.. new comes with warrenty... old you kinda are in trouble when something goes..lol this is our first house we will have ever owned.. so I just wanna avoid trouble if I can..lol

I am however, responsible for the overall maitenance of all Salvation Army property under my command. This includes vehicles, corps community centers, and our officers quarters( our house). While I am not personally responsible financially, I have to put the budget together and "raise" the money for the overall budget which includes lines for property maintenance, vehicle reserves, etc.

As a result, Elaine and I will not own a home until we retire. At that time, The Salvation Army will give us a very generous housing allowance that will help us purchase a home.

That is cool. We do have a lot of flexibility when it comes to decorating and very generous allowances for furniture and appliances.

We're just got back from the DISmeet. Everyone was having such a good time that we all came back to our house. We have JLDSMD, Disgrits, Goofyfreak, and of course TinkerbellRN and me EPCOT_VA. Pics coming soon!

Hey everyone... The wedding and reception is over and we're at the hotel now. Rather tired.

Well, it's 10:39 PM. All of our DIS friends left a short time ago. We all had a wonderful dinner at Blue Ridge Seafood. The kids got along especially well, young and old kids ;-) Jeff wanted to take a picture of the kids and Scott and I leaned in because we thought he meant us.

After dinner, we all came back to our house. We live within 8 miles of the restaurant. We sat around and visited. Naturally, some DCL Vacation pics came out for viewing.

I realized after everyone left that we didn't take any pictures here at our house. Beth told me that I can't actually prove that anyone was here now.

We had a great time visiting with everyone. Scott & Lori and Paige were at our DISmeet last Fall. This was our first time meeting Jeff & Suz. It was a pleasure, and we can't wait to be cruising with everyone in October!

Congrats to everyone who got their MNSSHP tickets

I ordered ours too for 10/22 and 10/31 I'm a little steamed that they are charging us the shipping two times because they can't combine the orders

And also a little ticked that they haven't put them up for sale on their website And because they've gotten rid of all their old toll free lines, everyone now has to pay to call for the tickets!

Boy, they sure know how to suck you dry

Glad you got them Cass. Could you not save the shipping charge and collect at Guest Services?
