WOW...great deal on that camera Karen. I only read through it quickly but didn't see what type of memory card. Is it an SD or XD card? I see it also has the time stamp on it. For less than $100.00 it might be worth it just to try it out. If I don't like it, I can just resell it on ebay. :)

Nancy, that''s weird that the kids is quicker than yours :confused3 Doesn't Janice have the same camera too? I think the Olympus one you have is the same one we just got a few weeks ago. Rach has used it a few times already and says she loves it , she said the shutter is a little slow but nothing compared to how slow the Kodak we have. She took both cameras with her because she said with her luck something would happen to one and then at least she'd have a backup, I couldn't argue with her on that one.

Janice does have the same camera but she doesn't complain about her's ever. I took it into Mike Crivello's this morning and I believe the guy was quite honest about it. He told me the exact same things that Best Buy told me.

Now the Nikon D60 I was looking at was $850.00 ($700 with in store rebate) at Crivellos and the same camera was about $500.00 at Sams Club.

Lots of research to do. Whenever I ask others for their opinions no one else seems to mind the slow shutter speed. Maybe I'm asking for the impossible too. Fussy MG!!

Good afternoon all - just read upteen pages to catch up.

Edit by Walt....I got to talk with Jerry Sloan for two hours while his entourage danced with your girl friends...A highlight of my Life...Jerry Sloan was my basketball idol while I was growing up...

What a great picture!

Well, everyone, I think we may not be staying at the Radisson afterall. We are seriously considering flying in the day of the cruise. We can fly out of Richmond at 8 am nonstop, arriving at MCO at around 10 am. I can get a pretty good fare with Airtran, and we would save quite a bit of $$ not having to stay in a hotel, dinner that night, etc. We are considering this because the flight is so early in the day. Otherwise I wouldn't even think about it.

I don't know if I've said this already (I tend to repeat myself--alot), but we have decided to take our kids to Gatlinburg Tennessee (for skiing) on our way home to Louisiana at Christmas, so saving a few bucks by not staying at the Radisson, seems to make sense.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are they same as several others as I read ahead. I would be afraid that something could go wrong & I'd miss the ship - but maybe that's the pessemistic over cautious me talking! Another option might be to stay at a cheaper hotel the 23rd - come see the rest of us & go somewhere else to sleep.

HI all,

DH is stuck in Atlanta over night. Weather had flights cancelled. Ds # 2 arrived home today. Went out for dinner and boys are off at the movies. Both boys have lots of laundry I havn't done this much laundry in ages.

Have a great night all.

Did he call Mimi & Mack while he was there?!!

Thanks Cheryl! I've been doing pretty good since I started 5 weeks ago. That Mother Goose sure keeps me motivated with all that exercising she's doing

Good for you! Keep up the good work - I know how hard it is!

Jeff, thanks for finding that website! It was neat to watch Rach make her progress over :thumbsup2

Jeff or Cheryl - As I read on I found where you listed those sites. ARe they for all airlines? My son & family are flying to Chicago then Dallas next week & I love to track their flights. I think they're flying United.

:rotfl2:You dont put "UK" and "cheap" in the same sentance:lmao:....

Most people use British airways or Virgin. July would be our peak time aka full fare prices.... I hope his credit card limit is high:rolleyes1

Yeah, my goal is 3 stone aswell......doesnt mean I'm gonna get there though:rotfl2:....especially when boxes of easter goodies turn up;)

How much is that in pounds?

To all my WW buddies out there, both official & unofficial - went for monthly check in & am happy to report that I'm am maintaining at 5 below goal. Boy, it's not easy! Hopefully together we can spur each other on!!

Happy Easter everyone!

Nancy

Karen, I'll be interested in hearing what you think about the Wii fitness coach too. I have been thinking about using a gift card I have to get that one too. I think Becky had said she has that one and likes it.
I love the super advanced boxing on the Wii fit :thumbsup2

I'll let you know:thumbsup2

I know! - I couldnt believe it when I started looking at the price. As I said, there have been several newer models released since that came out, higher pixel etc.

How much is that in pounds?

14 lb to a stone. Realistically I hope to lose a stone:rolleyes1, Ideally it would be 3 stone...but that aint ever gonna happen:rolleyes:

Right peeps, our curry buddies are due here soon, so have a good evening:goodvibes

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

To everyone who have lost weight congrats!!
I feel a little silly, I am counting down the pounds until I qualify for my surgery. Yes that's right you have to LOSE weight to have weight loss surgery!:confused3 Well actually I understand why,but anyhoo.....I have to lose 27lbs total, so far I have lost 17 of those. Now I am getting into the area where my body likes to settle so I have to kick it up a notch. Want to qualify by June, but it may still be another 6 months before the procedure.

Cheaper than you can get from ORD. I tried pricing up and we are around $1,100.

Have you tried Kayak.com? There are a couple other sites out there.

I know you could go over for under $500 right now, but the price do jump when summer comes around. However, to fly from the UK to the US is a LOT cheaper than going there. It is almost 3x as much for the same flights in reverse. :sad2:

That is weird, yes he looked at Kayak also. You would think it wouldn't matter which direction you were going in.

Thanks,

We won't even drive down the day of, I worry over car trouble, traffic jams, etc. I would be too nervous. It's about 7 hours from here with out any long stops.

Yes, any airline. You will enter the airline and flight number to track it.

The last site listed is good to see ALL flights that are coming into an airport. You can then select any flight and track it.

Have fun with it, I do. :thumbsup2

One would think so. I even put in dates that their return would be the day we're going and another trip with it coming here on a day we'd be coming back. In both those instances, a seat was available for them at the discount, meaning the seats are there, but not when I did it for a trip that way.

It isn't how it works for domestic flights. And to top it off, it is on American. Guess they just know that American citizens want to travel that time of year. However, it is still the same seat.

It would be different if we were going on a Western. Then if you miss, you can catch it in Key West. On the Eastern, it is two days until land.

Might be best if she flies day of to go through DCL for air.

Hi Nancy.

How was your day?

Anything good for lunch?

I had a really good salad but just as I thought, I'm hungry already! I should've had some nachos instead. :rotfl:

Sitting here watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will L colors the Easter eggs.

I feel like watching The Lion King tonight. I need a Disney fix of some sort. I'd go back and watch our video of the 07 cruise but they are just horrible! I think Chuck fell asleep with the camera running a few times. :goodvibes
