Thanks everyone for your :grouphug::grouphug:

Here's another :grouphug:.
This is another "Chris" on the Bober cruise. I'm aware you are a minister. Same here. A deacon in the Catholic Diocese of Rochester, New York. I think you will agree that this week is a very special and busy part of the year. You mentioned reading for stations? What will be keeping you busy this weekend for services? Holy Tursday, Good Friday Passion service, Easter Vigil Saturday, and Easter Sunday is on the list here.

Chris

Well, everyone, I think we may not be staying at the Radisson afterall. We are seriously considering flying in the day of the cruise. We can fly out of Richmond at 8 am nonstop, arriving at MCO at around 10 am. I can get a pretty good fare with Airtran, and we would save quite a bit of $$ not having to stay in a hotel, dinner that night, etc. We are considering this because the flight is so early in the day. Otherwise I wouldn't even think about it.

I don't know if I've said this already (I tend to repeat myself--alot), but we have decided to take our kids to Gatlinburg Tennessee (for skiing) on our way home to Louisiana at Christmas, so saving a few bucks by not staying at the Radisson, seems to make sense.

Any thoughts?

We know what you are going to do with the $$$ saved. You just don't want to admit that the savings will go toward sourveniers(sp) on the cruise. :lmao:

Hey Chris, good talking to you. Today we had a community Walk of the Cross. There were 14 stations along a walk down Broadway here in town. Each station dealt with a specific event on Good Friday. I carried the cross for the segment prior to my reading. It was a unique experience carrying the cross. It was the first time I have ever done that.

Cheryl, did Rachel get off o.k.? I see from the radar websites I have that the flight looks to be on time, if not a little early. Was she nervous? How are you and Al doing?

I was wondering the same thing, hope she got off okay.

I promised Karen some doggie pics....

Here is Stitch before....he's all shaggy

And here he is after, nice and shaved how I like him

And here is my pretty Lilo after her grooming, she's not shaggy like Stitch so we just get her trimmed

My Molly looks like Stitch, but I have never thought of shaving her, never thought I would like it. She has so much hair I think it would take forever.

Living as far away as we do, I would be nervous to fly down the day of, too many chances to have something delayed. But to save money, to be able to do something else w/the kids would be worth it.

She got off OK, she was soooooooo excited and just a little nervous. Everything went very smoothly at OHare, we arrived in plenty of time, got her checked in and filled out the unaccompanied minor paperwork. Al and I were both able to go with her through security and and wait with her so we fed her at the Chillis in the airport in case the food on the plane wouldn't be very good or in case she sleeps through the meal they serve. I'll admit I was the one that was still a little nervous about her flying overseas by herself and I did shed a tear or 2 when we said goodbye at the gate :rolleyes1 It sure will be quiet here this week with her gone, I'm not sure Chris realizes what a talkative young lady we have sent him ;)

Hi Chris, good to see you on here again! Sounds like you have a busy weekend and don't forget about your birthday tomorrow too!

Our local churches do the same also. Hamlin is populated by about 5,000. That includes the farmers so that means we are a small and scattered community. Rain or shine it goes on. Today was very sunny and about 45 so that was nice to have. I myself have not done the community walk in a number of years. When I do take part in the stations I do so in our parish and that is always an indoor event in the church.
Got to get some sleep. Early day for the car, and long day tomorrow at church.
Have a nice Easter, or can I say "Bunny Day" for the kids.
