I have rented from 4 different owners for our last 5 trips and it all worked out great! You can check on the DVC rental board but most rent their points out for $10-$12 per point. We can't afford to own DVC, especially now with our low dollar again but I love the resorts and so for us, we always rent points to stay there. There's a little bit of trust involved for both parties, but we've never had any problems. They key is communication and for both of you to feel comfortable about everything. It is always cheaper when you stay from Sunday to Thursday, as Fri and Sat points are much higher, you can check out the points chart to see how many points you need.

We've stayed at Beach Club Villas 3 times and once at Saratoga Springs. I am really looking forward to staying at Animal Kingdom Villas in October, the pool looks like it's going to be awesome, Kira will love it!

If we ever have extra points you could rent from us Cass, so far we haven't had extra points though

We've really taken advantage of the Sun.-Thur. being lower points but in 2010 they are changing the points system by reducing the weekend points and increasing week day points to even things out a bit more.
