10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) Thread #21!

I would've loved to visit the capital but it wasn't possible for Chuck to take off then. His boss is gone then so he has to stay.

I have a friend who lives in a condo in Daytona Beach Shores. She and her DH will be visiting with their son in Wisconsin and the condo will be empty for a bit. If Chuck can snag a week in summer (he's low man on the food chain at work) then we'll spend a week in a free condo! Chuck and I took his brother Mike and SIL Linda there in the spring before our 05 cruise. We had a blast. I'm not so sure about the weather though. Hot and humid wreak havoc on my tummy. The condo is literally right ON the beach!!

Daytona Beach is about 30 minutes to the east of our vacation home in Lake County. My mom used to have a patient that lived in South Daytona Beach when she was still doing her private duty nursing assignments.

Anyone doing anything exciting today? I'm just sitting here with the heating pad wrapped around my knee while listening to WDUV.com. I live such an exciting life.......

We slept with the patio doors open all night long. The sound of the ocean put me to sleep. That's probably the last time I slept through the night. Really!

Not much Andy. We ran errands this morning, spent $80.00 on fruit, veggies and nuts, and took my crappy camera into Best Buy to talk to a saleslady that was there last night. I'll be heading over to the hospital to visit with my dad later and then Chuck and I are going to a basketball game that Tony and Jesse are coaching.

Nah, he was posing. That guy is such a cut up. I laugh until my stomach aches with him.

It was. One night we even had a thunder/lightning storm. I sat out on the balcony and watched it all. It was amazing! Too bad I didn't take any pictures of that.

I enjoy laying in bed watching lightning storms, although some lightning storms in Florida get quite scary........
