I promise you wont be banned from the Bob or made to walk the plank if you dont make up a poem:rolleyes1

It only started because I made one up for a milestone once for a joke and it kind of stuck as a habit:rolleyes1

Not to worry, I'm making Laura do my next milestone poem.

Oh Yes, I can almost taste that.

Hey everyone...Finally home after a LONG day, but not feeling very well. The last couple of hours I have felt like I have been hit by a train. In the last 30-40 minutes, my throat has got scratchy. I am going to relax tonight and hope I wake up fine tomorrow.

Congrats to Jeff's Grandma on turning 100..........:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Great pics Jeff........;)

Great pictures Andy. Looks like another fun day. Walt and I have never been to Ron Jovi or Grills. Hope to get there in October. That tuna sandwich looked yummy. Diane

Busy day here. Scott had to take Kyle to an ortho appointment this morning and then he changed the oil in his car. When I got home we took Kyle back to his mom, and picked up one of Kelsey's friends. She is having her spend the night so of course they wanted to go to the mall. Scott and I are not comfortable with the indoor mall by us, let alone leaving to 14 year olds there. So we talked them into the outdoor mall. On the way there we had to pick Mackenzie up from her play date. Looking at her she had marker on her arm. Later I noticed she had marker on her chest and back. :scared1: Her and her little friend decided to give each other body tattoos. So I gave her a sponge bath at the mall. The older girls went off and did their thing while Scott, Mackenzie and I went to the bookstore. We did dinner after the mall and are not getting Mackenzie ready for bed.

In middle of my post Scott called me over to our fish tank and showed me that Kelsey's frog has died so we had to fish it out of the tank. :sad2:

Ok, for the BOBalosers out there....or anyone else!

I need some help getting started again. MG's new challenge on the Yahoo group has me thinking. So, here's an off-topic question for the day:

List one healthy meal or recipe that is a good "stand-by" meal - one you always have the stuff to make or can throw together in a jiffy:

Here's mine:

Super Easy Chicken

4-5 boneless,skinless, chicken breasts
1 packet dry italian seasoning mix (like you'd use to make your own italian salad dressing)
1 cup water or chicken broth (I use broth)

Throw it all in the crockpot and cook all day on low.

Ok I have the same recipe but a little more fattening. Along with everything you mentioned is also 8 oz of cream cheese.

Jeff, great pictures of your Grandma's birthday. She looks amazing, I would never guess she was that old, had you not said so.

You and me both Matthew! I must say, I have been drinking more water lately, especially when I am at the gym. The good thing is that I eat a lot of chicken, so I try to cut down my red meat intake.

Soda...that will be a struggle! Although if I focus on it, I should beat it. On our first cruise with RCCL, I was not going to pay for soda, and only had soda twice all week. We were off the ship and on excursions. I had water with my meals at dinner and drank lemonade on deck.

Here is a funny story. Around 19 years old I stopped drinking all soda (unless mixed with alcohol when I was 21) I had to because soda was causing kidney stones. Well last year Mackenzie was collecting cans for school. Later turned into collect for her college fund, but all of a sudden we are all drinking soda in order for her to save the cans.

Just spoke with my mother. After my family ate their corn beef and cabbage they went outside and saw the shuttle go over the house. It was fast but neat. My brother saw it take off in Florida on Sunday night. Then he saw it again tonite. Pretty neat. Diane

My mother and father are going to try to take Mackenzie tomorrow. The original plan was for Scott to drop her off at their house just for a few hours while he took Kelsey to her dentist appointment. Mom talked to me tonight and decided that they want to keep her from 10:30 in the morning until after dinner. They want to take her out to dinner and then they will bring her home. Dad will need to take a nap in the afternoon so we will see how he is when they get her tomorrow night. I think this might be to soon for them to have her 8 to 9 hours but we will see.

Geez! - slow night on here:confused3

I have nothing to read now!:sad2:

I'm going walking with my friend as soon as we drop the kids into school. I'm easing my back into in gently with just a 30 minute walk to start with to see how I go.

My walks to school and at lunchtime give me another 1 1/2 hours total walking so I'll be doing 2 hours today:yay:

I'm trying Mama Goose, I'm trying:yay: :thumbsup2

I've also not had any evening snacks or alcohol:scared1: since Saturday either:angel: ....

not sure how long that can last though:rolleyes1

Here it is, our last "full" day in Florida for this trip. The time has gone much too fast, as usual.

This afternoon we will be heading over to take my mom and Walt out for their birthday dinners. My mom is 73 today and Walt we be 87 on April 9th
so we thought a combined birthday celebration is in order. Don't know where we are going as we are letting the two of them decide.

Then, at 6:15 this evening, I have to get us checked in with Southwest for our flight home, where Bryan will be waiting to pick us up at the airport
tomorrow night.

The three of us had such a nice day yesterday. It was so nice visiting with Shirley and Norm, they are both such sweet people. It was worth the 90
minute drive to Shirley's shop just to get to see them, the lunch at Grills, was an added bonus.

It did get a bit chilly overnight. I woke up at 4:10 this morning to the sounds of the heat pump kicking on. It feels nice and comfy in the trailer now.

Have a GREAT Wednesday All!!!

Will check in later, bye for now.........:wave2:
