Evening Lynn. Good to see you on the thread. If you're wondering about names, check out post #1. We have them all up there. :thumbsup2

Wow, I step out for lunch and have about 5 pages to catch up on!

I think the Bobbitt's lived in northern Virginia when that incident happend. I want to say Manassas.

Uh oh, that's where I live! :scared1: Well close enough anyway. We live five miles south of Manassas, but I drive through it going to and from work.

Post it please:)

Leave it to Scott to bring up my hair. He is so pleased with it. I guess as he keeps saying he is pleased that I decided to do it. I have always gotten my hair cut but it has always been the same style and straight. I have never gone out of my comfort zone. But this weekend I decided to take the plung. We added 3 layers, took of some length, and added bangs. I have not had bangs since I was a senior in high school. These are not the best pics but they are all I have right now. They were taken with my cell on my way out the door for work. One with glasses and one without.

Ummm...Paige? Virginia was a Confederate state. That wouldn't be a Yankee then.

A lot of people consider Northern Virginia to not really be "Virginians" because of the influence of Washington DC. So many people that come to work here from all over, plus the military presence, which by definition is from all over. Northern Virginia is a very cosmopolitan place.

Now Richmond, those folks are REAL Virginians. They are far enough removed from the Washington DC effect. (Of course, I'm a transplant too, so I should talk.)

Very nice pictures and a good hairtstyle for you. The second one is better, I think its the smile. :)

My wife Beth used to have long hair many years ago. She went for a shorter cut too. Easier to maintain and it looks better on her.

I'd say good night Everyone, but I don't think anyone else is here. :confused3

Til the morrow...

My week is just getting better day by day. :rolleyes1

Hazel just called from Best Buy, the motherboard on my laptop is "fried" :sad2: but she and Lina have picked out a new laptop for me, :upsidedow and the files from my old laptop are going to be transferred to my new laptop. :thumbsup2 I will lose the Print Shop program I had in the old laptop, so the wedding invitations couldn't be saved anyhow.

I also found out this morning that a vote was taken and the public works department has decided to give back our 3.5% raise that we got this year as a concession to the township's tax troubles. This is scheduled to take effect the first pay period in April. :sad2:

Life is good.........

-Andy- I have Print Shop 10 if you can still get the file, and if that's similar to what you have.

Hi Jeff--Lina said she doesn't want to take her laptop, she is afraid something might happen to it, but most likely my new laptop will be making the trip. :)

The tech at Best Buy said the programs I had in the laptop can't be saved. Since the invitations were in the Print Shop program, I am guessing they are lost as well. That's what happened when one of my old desktop computers died and the programs couldn't be saved on that computer either.

As I read this it is 10:42pm california time and I am screaming at my computer saying NO! Those invitations can absolutely be saved. The data is always stored separately from the program. Most programs, by default, will save their data in the "My Documents" folder. Regardless, Andy you should be able to get your data back. You just need to remember the file name that you gave them and then do a search for that file. Then once you reload the program you simply point it to that archived file and Viola' invitations are back! Did Bestbuy transfer all the files to the new computer or did they burn them on CD? I hope you did not let them have the old HD! You should keep it as it is an archive of your old computer and any data that you may need in the future is held there. If you can't get ahold of a printshop Cd let me know I can probably secure one for you. I'm hoping that you have already found all of your files and all is well.

Well, looks like the new ships have been named :thumbsup2

I really liked the names. Like Jeff said the Disney Dream was no surprise but the Fantasy is rather nice.

That's exactly why he did it. I just don't get that overclocking stuff.
But then I'm not that much of a geek, nor do I play any video games.

Sean should really be spending all those endless hours STUDYING!

I sent him a copy of your post with photos, he loves that stuff.
His case has see through sides too and all kinds of lights going on inside.
He even bought an expensive gaming keyboard.

Crazy I tell you, when he's going to need lots of money to pay off student loans, to keep spending his money on more computer parts.

He just put in 3 $500 video cards on his latest computer.
Not my money, not my life, he's 18 now, so what can I say about it.
:surfweb:

Don't get too mad at the boy, I did a massive amount of research on my family tree while I was supposed to be studying for my exams in school. I needed to excercise my brain in different directions than school on occasion and that was my outlet. I still got great grades. Sometimes I think that I got good grades because I allowed myself time to breathe now and again.

3 video cards! He's got it bad! I've never went with SLI. The performance boost never seemed to be worth the financial outlay. I'd rather spend a lot of extra money on a top 'o the line card than buy 2 or 3 medium range cards for a SLI setup. Of course at $500 a pop he's not really going medium range. SLI usually involves two cards, what's he doing with the third card? Is he using it as a physics accelerator or multi-monitor support?

I think only the Deluxe's have queens. I have tried selling Elaine on a deluxe for that very reason. I can be bad!

Not exactly, CSR has recently upgraded to Queens.

Howdy All...........

A fire truck just went flying past our house with sirens blasting and scared the heebie jeebies out of me. I'm wide awake now, even though I was hoping to sleep a little later.........:rotfl:

Steve--I do have my old laptop with me. Best Buy transferred everything to my new laptop, but I didn't get a CD from them.

I think we are about 95% ready to go. Just a few last minute things needed to be put into our carry-ons before we leave for the airport later today.

Bryan told us last night that he will be in the PHL Tower watching our plane leave. I think I'm going to ask Lina to see if he could possibly get some pics from the tower as our plane is taking off.

I'm not sure if I will be getting online much today, so if I don't get back on, I will see all you fine folks later..........:wave2:

Have a Great Wednesday..........:goodvibes :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Isn't Heather south of London?

Linda was to the west of London, correct?

Not sure if we'd fly into London or not. There are non-stop from Chicago to Manchester. Not sure about Birmingham.

Manchester is only 1 1/2 hours away on the motorway. Birmingham about 25mins

Thanks. Yes at least I have a job for now, but the company is shutting down by the end of Q1 next year and sending everything to Malaysia. (got love it)
