10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #19

[This pic is for Me and Karen because we likey pirates.

We went on that boat when we went to Clearwater. DS was 3 at the time and loved it. We stayed at what was the Adams Mark at the end of the beach you have in your pictures. It would be the building to the south end of Clearwater Beach. The hotel is no longer - not sure if anything else opened in it.

It is great down there. The pics you are posting of the beach brings back memories.

At the end of that trip, since we flew in and out of Orlando (go figure that, I go to Clearwater and I fly in/out of Orlando, but I'll go to WDW and fly in/out of Tampa ) and had time before our flight so we went to DTD. While we were there, Suz said she wants to come back and go to WDW with DS. We got home, I checked and WDW was running the 7 nights for the price of 4 (kinda like now) and that started all our Disney vacations.

O.K., that was a way off topic story. My bad. Continue on people.

We were there last in 1982. I loved Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, St Pete's Beach and Tarpon Springs. Mike, Robin or Chris...do any of you remember the restaurant called The Kapok Tree? I'm not sure but I think it was in Tampa or near there anyway? We would treat ourselves to a nice dinner everytime we were close by.

we remember it. never ate there though. too rich for us poor folk.
that was for you high rollers with money trees.

Hey Jeff, Chuck asked again today about helping you paint your kitchen. He was serious about helping out. Are you still doing that?

Suz has a scrapbook day (and possibly night) coming up in the next couple months. I will find out the date and make sure we're set on the color and he and I can do it while she's gone. It will be a big surprise for her. Don't let her know.

I love this whole area! Did you visit Candy Kitchen in - I think it is Madeira Beach.
