What a shame you didnt go. I worry about getting back to the ship on time though if we go.

It was our first cruise and we were too chicken to take a non-DCL excursion that late in the day. We heard about that bridge and decided against it. Karen, remember Jo and Danny (Perdidobay)? They took a taxi and went to Maho. They brought back some amazing pics & video too. :thumbsup2

What's your favorite mode of Disney transportation? (monorail, boat, etc)

My answer: I'm being creative here and answering The Disney Magic. :goodvibes (Otherwise the monorail).:cutie:

Congrats on DISpost #7000 MG!!!

Hey Lori,
How many days do you recommend someone do DC?

We were both born and raised in NC - moved here 12+ years ago. When we lived in NC and the kids were small, we would go to DC every year for spring break. We always tried to stay 5+ days. There is so much to see and so much is free. It was always a great trip!

Karen - Glad Neil got home safely.

Off to work - field trip today to the Shakespeare Tavern for Romeo and Juliet.

Looking at the schedule Cass posted our best chance is the American 757thats "daily" scheduled at 1.30pm:confused3

There is a website I've been to where you can track flights. You can also check an airport code for all the flights coming to it on a given day. Once we get to September, I'll take a look at it on Tuesdays and see if anyone else is flying in.

It is a pretty cool website. Shows which planes are flying in the area (landing, taking off, and flying over). You can also track the flight on its route. Did you know on a normal take off, a plane gets to its cruising altitude in 20 min? I never knew it was that quick. Seems longer.

Well, if I'm staying at a non-monorail resort and going to any park other than MK, I would say my rental car because it is a LOT faster than taking the WDW buses. Plus, depending on the time of day and park you're going to/from, I prefer to sit rather than stand for the ride.

But if I have to pick one of theirs, I'd say monorail first and then the boat (the cruise from PO to DTD is really nice - long, but nice).

While I LOVE the monorail, I have to say my sentimental favorite is the ferry between the TTC and MK. The first time I went to WDW back in 1980, I can still remember catching my first glimpse of the castle as we rode the ferry boat across the Seven Seas Lagoon. When we left the park after dark, the Electric Water Pageant was coming by and they were playing Handel's Water Music! Great memory!

Well, duty calls. Time to hit the road and get to work..........:wave2:

Another quick congrats before I go...I see Mimi hit DISpost #2000!!!

Good morning everybody
Nancy is off to work again today so she has left me things to do.
She wasn't planning on working today but the teacher she subbed for yesterday called her last night and asked her to do it today also.
Three days in a row Wow
As Nancy says just helps the Cruise fund:):):).
Everybody have a great day

Dan

Heather - I hope you feel better.

Heather, I hope your sore throat goes away and it doesn't turn into anything else.:flower3:

Thank you guys...it's still sore, but doesn't stop me working. Karen, I'm gargling with dissolvable asprin twice a day, which has helped.

Good morning all,

Heather- glad to hear it's getting better

Mimi- hope Mack is on the mend.

HAve a good day all!!!

For anyone who's interested, I just updated my trippie with an entry for La Nouba. I thought this would be a short one, but I apparently I got caught up in the moment and ended up writing a little book.

I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it!

Gonna read it later Kathy
