I just finalized our trip plans for next month. Instead of driving to Florida, I was able to get us on Southwest flights for $59.00 each way leaving on Thursday 3/12 and arriving back home on Thursday 3/19. This also allows us to spend my mom's birthday with her on Wednesday 3/18. I was also able to get us a good deal ($253.20 with all taxes and fees included) on a rental car with Budget for the week. This will be so much better than having to spend two days in the car, down and back.........:goodvibes

Now, I just have to put in my vacation request tomorrow at work.......:lmao:

Wow what a great deal Andy. That's my Southwest for you. I am so excited. Southwest is going to start flying to Boston soon. I can't wait. If I can't fly stand by to Providence, I will try Boston. More options for me to fly home to see my family.  :cool1: :cool1:   Woo Hoo. Di

Well everyone...just a quick post before I head into meeting. I came into my office to review my text for today, but now duty calls.

I'll talk to everyone this afternoon.

Well I have a 2 1/2 in or so scar on my head but it is hidden by my hair... The story that goes with it makes me look like a hated child..LOL My dad threw a rock at me!!!.. lol But what happened was I was standing in a river that was very cold.... dad threw a rock to the side of me to splash me... but I dove at the sametime... and WHOOPS! :scared1: Head wounds are the worse... they bleed like crazy and it cut into the muscle that helps move your jaw.. it was owie for a longtime... we were camping so we had to boogy to a hospital... I ruined a blanket,towel,2 shirts and anything my mom and I were wearing. My dad felt horrible!.. he begged me to tell the hospital that I slipped..lol but all is well and I am only slightly crazy... mwhahahahha :lmao:

umm.. did anyone even want to know that?..lol :rotfl2:

What a story.

I'm real chuffed with myself:banana:

I had some curtains from the old house that we didnt use when we moved in. They were the perfect colour for our bedroom to match the new bedlinen so I just re-hemmed them (wonderweb:rolleyes1 ) and rehung them while Neil finished the ironing:banana:

Probably not the most sensible idea being on a stool wobbling round with curtains in my arms but I managed.

I just need parcacetamol now, but I'm pleased how they turned out:thumbsup2

Cutrtains for free:thumbsup2 - gotta love that price:thumbsup2 I'm so glad we didnt throw them away when we moved.

We have a new Ruby Tuesday in San Antonio. Wow the salad bar is great. I want to bring Walter there soon. I went with some of my weight watcher buddies. Diane

Di, does your Ruby Tuesday have those amazing pumpernickel croutons? I could make a meal of those alone. :rotfl:

Mike's dad did that to you? No wonder he moved away to Florida. The guilt must have really gotten to him. Hmmmmm, wonder if he also hit Dawg in the head. That would explain a lot woudln't it? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

(JK...MiCkey...you know I loves ya).

I think I saw those croutons there but I did not try them. Di

Walt is off on a three hour bike ride. It is a real pretty ride. I bet he is cold. He had his heat under armours on plus leathers and his regular clothes. I is really cold out there. I bet he is freezing even with all those clothes. It is very windy out too. I did not go because I need to either take Elijah to his basketball game or Asiah to a friend's birthday party. My daughter Kristen can't be in two places at once. I lucked out. Di

Hmmmm, that wasn't my co-workers last name though. It was Kowalski. I just googled her last name and the only wrestler that came up with that name was Gorgeous George and he died in the 60's! Her husband's name was George Kowalski and they got married October 11, 1975. (She may have been in her 50's when they married). Maybe she didn't tell us the truth either. Heck I was 18 and believed everything anyone told me. :lmao:

So sad about Gagne. I was secretly in love with his son Greg. :rotfl:

The Crusher's wife's name was Faye and they were married 55 years. She died in 2003, so they would have been married in 1948. Long before your co-workers wedding.

Cass - I know I asked this, alas, I have forgotten - DO you do digital then just have it printed out? Who do you get to print it? OR do you do traditional and scan it then have it printed.

I do it all digital now and I get it printed in photobooks at www.mypublisher.com. I LOVE these books, they turn out so good!!

I started doing digital in 2004/05 and haven't been able to go back to traditional scrapbooking ever since :scared: I have all these supplies just sitting collecting dust now  I guess I will keep them for Kira :goodvibes

Hmmm, that explains a few things don't it ;) :lmao: :rotfl2:

So I am waiting for the hubby to drag his butt out of bed so I can start with the loud cleaning of the house... someone needs to chat on here to keep me occupied until then!..lol

Don't you ever sleep in????? :rolleyes1

Great job Cass!!! You deserve a break today. Di

Thanks  Gonna go finish my last few pages and then I am done :thumbsup2

Good morning Mimi and Mack
I guess you might say its going to be nice to have a quit day.
The only thing we have to do today is start watching the snow come down. Oh if i didn't mention it we are going to get another 10-12 inches between this afternoon and tomorrow morning:guilty::guilty::guilty::guilty:.
We have had enough.
Everybody have a great day.
Dan

Sorry about the new snow, Dan and Nancy! I know you are tired of it. Spring must be on its way sometime soon!

Andy - Glad you were able to put in the workout. I know you and Hazel will have fun on your trip!

Karen - Don't overdo it. This back stuff is nothing to mess with and can make you feel older very quickly.

My husband is quite sick - he has been on some high-powered medications now for the week - including steroids, but he is not better. Back to the doctor tomorrow.

Okay - now you made me hungry - mix those pumpernickel croutons (and I am sure they are not too point friendly) with Ruby Tuesday's edemame and cucumber-tomato salad and oh my, what a delicious lunch. Ugh! I wish Mack felt like going out for lunch. That is exactly what I would want!

Kathy - How are you? How is Tink? And Frank?

I'm OK, thanks for asking. Tink is planning her cruise wear - so far, she's borrowing a red & white party dress with sparkly red shoes and a bathing suit from her sister Twinkles

All 3 of us qualify fo the "scarred" group...but I'm not showing mine. I'd have to wear a bikini, and that's NOT happening!

Pete's got a scar on his forehead and Thomas has 2 tiny scars under his bottom lip. Both of my boys earned theirs as toddlers/preschoolers...they must have heard how "chicks dig scars" and took it too literally!

Hmmm. We may need to separate the scars into 2 groups: accidental and on purpose (surgical). I have one of each - dog bite on my face and surgical on my elbow.

Just saved myself another $42.00 by switching my car rental from Budget to Avis using the Southwest.com website for our trip next month. Thank You Southwest for the added savings!!!!!:thumbsup2

Mimi--I hope Mack starts feel better real soon, sorry to hear the meds he has been on hasn't helped much. Here are some :flower3: and :wizard: for Mack.

Thanks Andy! He is rarely sick and when he is, he is usually better in a few days, so this is really odd.

Hey everyone. I am busy burning CD's for the kids to get ready for a singing and dance competition in early May. Not just for my kids, but the kids at the church. I am DISing on my desktop and have iTunes open on my laptop. I think I will forego the community meal. We are having nasty chicken patties. Not that they are nasty, I just don't like chicken sandwiches too much, unless it is real chicken, not a patty.

I will have to remember that for the cruise. We will most likely be flying Southwest, especially if there are fares to be had that are equivalent to yours. Is Avis in the airport at MCO? That is one thing I like about Budget.
