Thats a great deal for a week. I was playing around a few weeks ago pricing cars for the cruise, and Avis came in cheaper without any codes for a full size car. Since we are going on a cruise and have formal wear, and have garment bags, etc, we need a big trunk. Elaine is also a notorious over packer!

I reserved with Budget after the cruise an Int SUV (Ford Escape or similar). It was actually the lowest priced vehicle they had - even lower than a compact or economy.

Just wish I could get it for going out as well. We had a Cadillac STS after the Repo and the trunk was awful. Couldn't fit hardly anything in there. Actually had 2 of the larger suitcases in the back seat. If it is not an Impala, forget about it. Had a Ford 500 (now named the Taurus again) once and it has a HUGE trunk. I liked that car.

I think the first one at the Post Office was the hardest.

I can't remember the answer (or question) for that one. I'll have to go look it up. I do know it was hard though.

It was fun looking at all the stuff on the walls at Cookie's though for the clues.

I think it made you look more closely at the surroundings and appreciate the theming, instead of taking it for granted.

We've had some real small trunked cars at times. I think the PT Cruiser we had one year was the best.

Time to call it a day...my DH has an awful cold, so looks like were in for another night with him snoring so loud, I have to pull the covers to get him to move off his back.:rotfl:

Anyway...back to work tomorrow and I'll be back on tomorrow night.

Yuck, yuck , yuck...............It is cold here today too!!! but nothing like yours!!

Done babysitting, done grocery shopping, now off to me and the vaccuum!!!

Right now its not to bad it's 39 degrees and rain.

One more rental question...

Does Avis allow you to choose your car? I know Alamo does, but no Alamo at the Port.

I will do Cass, although my album tends to be a pictoral journal leading from a written journal page. Does that make sence?:confused3

Yup, totally makes sense ;)

Whats making this one fun, is using some of the great scrap swap kits that I received on the cruise.

How cool :goodvibes By the way, I love how you quoted yourself ;) :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well, guess what????

I am all done :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

It is just uploading right now :thumbsup2

As soon as it's done I will post the link so you can peek at it :rolleyes1

And Rob and Kira are only a couple hours from home now

Looking forward to seeing it Cass.......;)

Our kid is on her way home as well, she should be here shortly. Sure has been quiet around the house without her here........

Our kid just walked in the door and dad gave her a GREAT BIG HUG!!!!! :thumbsup2

We had one of those once and it worked out great. We also had a Pontiac Vibe and that had good storage too.

I'd much rather have a small SUV or a hatchback car like those if I'm going on the cruise. Makes it a lot easier if you have a lot or larger pieces of luggage.

I pull Suz' pillow if she starts snoring and I can't sleep. You have to pull it hard enough for her to change her sleeping position, but not too hard as to wake her up. If that happens, I just fake sleeping. :rotfl2:

Oh, how I wish Alamo was at the Port. That would really bring the rental prices down. I like renting from them.

I can't remember if it is Avis or Budget in MCO that lets you walk out to the isle and take a car from the size group you've rented. I want to say it is Avis, but don't quote me on it.

Can't wait to see it Cass.

So, anything special planned when they get home? Out for dinner as a family? Or just a little one on one play time with Kira?

Andy our rain is due to change to snow and by morning have about 10-12 inches of that heavy wet stuff. My snowblower will love it:rotfl::rotfl:.Dan

Our rain was supposed to switch over to sn*w before it ended, but luckily, it never did, it stayed all rain for us!!!

Nothing special, just some down time for Kira. Apparently she's had a rough week-end with many Category 5 meltdowns as we call them. :scared1:

Poor Rob, he said the trip was a huge mistake :guilty: He is all stressed and Kira is not having a good time and despite the fact that there was supposed to be child care all arranged at the wedding for the little ones, it didn't work out at all and Rob and our SIL ended up watching about 10 little kids in a room next to the wedding so they missed everything. :sad2:

Our kid just isn't a traveler :rolleyes1 His parents keep telling us just to throw her in the car and go for trips (cus that's what they did with their kids and now their grandkids) but Kira is just not happy in the car, never has been. Not even with the DVD player :scared:

So...his parents keep talking him into these long car trips and she keeps melting down :lmao: They are building a cabin (to fish and then retire at) about 9 hours from Calgary and they keep telling us to go visit. But I don't travel well in the car so there's no way I am going! Plus I hate to fish :rolleyes1

Aren't ya glad you asked Jeff?? LOL!!!
