Good afternoon everyone. We are home for a little while. Today was the day we serve the community after our Sunday Services, so its always a long day. I am making some hor'deves (sp?) for our Extreme Makeover Party tonight. We are going to a friends house to watch it all together as we were all a part of the effort.

Looks like we quieted down a little this afternoon. Only 3 pages or so to go through when I got back from the store.

How's everyone's Sundays going?

Sunny and warmer than average here. Suppose to stay above freezing for the highs all the way through Saturday. Tuesday, DS's b-day, is suppose to be the warmest and may set a record high. He's excited about that. We have a competition to see who's b-day is warmer - mine, Jan 7, or his, Feb 10. I won last year when we set a record of 63* (although we were technically in WDW for his b-day last year, but that doesn't count ). The record for his b-day is 58* set back in 1899. I don't think we'll beat it though.

Been well today. There has been a lot of snow melt. The cars area mess from all of the splashing on melted snow!

We'll be looking at Airtran and Southwest to start.

We are too. I am hoping that Southwest comes through for us. We can fly Airtran out of White Plains, but that is primarily a corporate airport and parking is extremely tight. Last cruise, I considered flying Airtran out of White Plains. They had direct flights and good flight times.

As promised, her is my sutpid impluse buy. The girls wouldn't let me buy them anything (they're too grown up now I guess), but I shelled out $10.00 for this crown. But the guy told me it was from Tiffany's and that the gems were real!!!

I have a crown just like this. Giap gave it to me when I had my surgery. another friend of ours bought it for her at the thrift store on base. We were wondering where it would have come from. Mystery solved! It was Disney On Ice!

You crack me up with your numbers. I definitely think we are going to get very chatty the closer it gets. I love it when I get on here and there are pages and pages to catch up on. Even though it isn't all cruise talk I love getting to know everyone better. It really was great on KK1 walking around the ship and always bumping into someone I knew.

Steak night here too! We also had ours thawing for last night but decided to have them tonight instead. Looking foward to them!!!!!

Ours are pulled out of the fridge and getting to room temp. Quick sear on each side and then another 5 minutes each side indirect and they'll be a prefect medium inside.

It was fun on the KK thread(s) wasn't it. We really got to know each other (both cruisewise and personally). Also planning all the group activities was fun too. We all got along so well while sailing. Like you said, you'd walk down the hall any time and find someone from the boards.

Our's is cooking right now, smells yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine are going on at 6:00. We get ours from a small grocery store near my grandma's old house. It has an awesome butcher shop there. I think that keeps the store going. The meat is excellent there. Very tender and flavorful.

OK, now my mouth is watering.
