Great pics Karen. Looks like Xmas was a great time to be at the parks.

Seems like years ago by now, doesn't it (and it was only about 5 weeks). Look at the bright side, you'll be in FL in just over 8 months - and this time we get to see you. :cool1:

I cant wait:cheer2: - I wish you lot could have made it instead of sunning yourselves in Mexico:p :beach:

8 months and counting:goodvibes

All I need to do now is go to Boots and get them printed - theres only 103, add that to my 495 I already got processed and then put them ion an album (or two!)

Not a sticky backed album, please. The glue in them harms the photos.

Thats Thursday done for me. TGTF

No, I stocked up on some lovely albums last year that hold 500 photos - slide in pockets. I used one last year for the cruise and then went back and bought the last 4 in the shop:rotfl2:

Just got home from work and found the fawn back snacking on the leaves, that sure is one hungry little deer. It's so darn cute. I put some raisins and peanuts in a bowl, but I guess the fawn just likes the leaves as he/she hasn't touched anything in the bowl.

I am soooooooooooo glad the work day is over. I've had a very rough day. I told Hazel if the township committee offers an early retirement package at tonight's meeting, I will be first in line to sign up for it. :thumbsup2

If they do the rate is much higher:sad2: - I have never heard of anything over 5 years, but if we could fix for longer then we would jump at it. The norm now is 2 years:rolleyes:

A friend of ours is a mortgage broker so we'll get him on the case nearer the time. Banks are really cautious now who they lend to. We're lucky because we own half of the house we're a "safe" bet, but loads of first time buyers and those without much of a deposit are struggling to get a mortgage at all.

When I think back to when we bought the first house we were paying 12+ percent:faint:

I hope those days never come back!:scared:

Our 30 years I think are in the low to mid 5% right now. To lock at that rate for long term is good. We are 5 years into a 30 year mortgage. We too started with 1/2 our house owned by us.

As for 12%, I for one, since I'm locked, would love to see interest rates go back up to double digits. I would put a ton of money in long term CD's earning that rate and set for retirement. Sad thing is, I don't think it will be out of the question in the next few years. :sad2:

I really love the castle like this.

I do too. I hope to get down there sometime in December to see it. Suz can't have off from work though in November or December, so it will be a while (unless we can sneak a long weekend sometime).

AAARRRGGGG!!!! ok I have spent 2 days researching a stupid screw we need for a project and it is fustrating me to death!!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

ok I feel better now :goodvibes :lmao:

I am actually home sick today with a sore throat and a fever, so I'm DISing because it makes me feel better. :flower3:

I did actually finish the 1st section of my trip report today, which does have pictures, but of Disney (haven't gotten to that part yet). http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2042077

The King Cake recipe looks fabulous! It looks like something nice to make for the office for Fat Tuesday (is that OK?) Just one question - where to you get the baby to bake into the cake? Does Michaels have stuff like that?

Micheal's should have little plastic babies. I get mine from Oriental Trading.

Like I said, Suz can't get away in Nov or Dec. And as for WDW, we were looking at being down there this week. Good thing we went to Mexico instead, it was a LOT warmer.

What about early January...the lights should still be up?

I think our equity is up to 58% (62% if you go by the inflated price the village uses for property taxes :sad2: ).

We pay off extra every month on top of our usual payment, if it stays low we can pay the mortgage off much quicker:thumbsup2 We did at the last house - we had no mortgage within 12 years... going back to 30 years was quite a shock:scared:

Done it....got pink, mustard yellow, green and white, but it does drive you mad.

Theres definitely a knack to it - well done:thumbsup2

Me no likey Suz' boss:sad2:

Bernie - I feel your pain.... Neil went to 5 differnt bathroom supplies last week hunting for a replacement tap screw - imperial measurements... nowhere had one and he'd travelled miles.... he got home and then realized he had the metric equivalant in his tool box the whole time:lmao: :lmao:

Hope you find one soon.:grouphug:

DS is back in school. We try to not pull him right after a long break. End of January, beginning of Feb is a good time. I would like to try though for the second weekend in December some year. Just hope her boss would allow it.
