Ok here goes. I never thought I would have so many posts but here is post 2000!

There once was a man named Capt. Chris.
A captain of a ship was not he,
but rather the captain in a large army.

He is tall and skinny
With knees that are knobby,
But the DIS he loves like a hobby

He joined this cruise called BOB
Never thinking he might have a job
Managing threads, also called BOB

He looks to the future,
October to be sure,
when a plane he will board
for a distant shore,

The wheels will smoke
as the planes touches down
but then the fun begins
In the Port town

We will gather by the pool
Will it be warm or cool?
Then we rise in the morning
to board a bus
What will they think
when they see us?
"It's the Bash on the Boat" we will say

We board our ship, its finally our day
Ressies to be made,
Konk Koolers, or lemonade?
Then we hear the Captain say
It's full speed ahead
Have a Magical Day!

I am not a poet and hated it in HS and college. Be easy on me people!

:cheer2: Good Job Christian! Congrats on 2000!!!:cheer2:

Hello everyone. I'm doing my periodic checking in. I hope all is well with everyone. Laura reminded me today that I haven't been on in a while, she was looking for the threat because she has been thinking a lot about the cruise lately and wanted to check in with you all.

Hi Steve and Laura. How are you getting on with your BOB preparations.

My day was anything but normal as well. I am home for 10 minutes, then have to go back to the office for a board meeting. I had to run home and take the kids next door. Luckily, the agenda for the meeting is short and I won't be gone too long.

Hi Steve and Laura. How are you getting on with your BOB preparations.

We bought the air tix a month or so ago but that's about as far as I've gotten. We've been concentrating on our WDW trip coming up in a few days. The goal has been to pack what we need in as few suitcases as possible to keep the cost down at the airport. Laura thinks that we can get everything we need into two cases. I told her to pack them and weigh them to make sure that we stay under 50 lbs then lighten them up with a third case and we'll have some room to bring purchases home. That should keep our costs down to $90 for transportation of all luggage both ways.

Took a walk the other day only about 6 or 7 blocks and had my daughter complain nearly the whole way there and back again. It brought a wave of horror onto both Laura and I. We're going to be in WDW in less than 3 weeks with all that walking to do and our DD can barely walk to an ice cream shop! I went home and did an internet search and found a company that rents strollers to people in the WDW area. Nice ones! Not the horrible ones that they rent in the parks. So for less than the amount that the park rental would have been, we have a nice stroller to take in the parks. And I don't even have to lug it through airports!

Thanks! Wish it was for a better reason!

Oh no, not much fun going to get a shower and finding there is no hot water........:cold: :cold: :cold:

Looks like Lina won't be getting a shower before she leaves for her babysitting job either, especially since she has to leave within the hour.

But you did get to stay home and watch the inauguration!!!

Just be thankful it's not the furnace!

By now I've read ahead and know that Dan told yo about our furnace. But ;it didn't affect the hot water until after I went to work.

Get better Bernie!

:bday: Happy Birthday Rick!!!! :bday:

I went back and looked - I thought she had given everything for 1/12. I recalculated - though probably too quickly and came up with 162 per 1/12th of the cake for everything, so the points would be 3, I believe. My slide doesn't do increments. My slide is from when Turn Around was first introduced, so I guess it could have been changed as well.

I actually have a points calculator. It's so much better than the slide - it looks like a regular calculator so it's less conspicuous in the grocery store.

My understanding is that this has changed; you can book it 7 months from your check IN date now.

Now that you say that I think I remember reading about that change.

It is 26 this morning, I am confused- thought I loved in Florida?

You might as well live in Maine. The thermometer read 5 when I got up. I subbed for a first grade teacher who takes her kids out every morning to look at nature & feed the birds. Well I decided the birds would have to fend for themselves because I wasn't tromping through the snow with 17 1st graders!! Boy boots, snow pants, etc sure take up a lot of time in the day!!!

As far as BOB goes, since I have bought my Air, I can finalize some plans. We coming into town on Thursday. (air was cheaper that way) and will be staying two nights at the raddison. Still debating on what to do for Friday. Thinking that we may do the Kennedy Space Center in the Morning and then MNSSHP that night. We'll be coming right home after the cruise.

Yes, so sorry to hear about that. But you left Dan home to deal with it, right? ;)
