Theres only on thing wrong with slow cookers - you smell your dinner cooking all day long:sad: - I'm starving smelling the beef and veg cooking.

Oh well, I'm about to have my lunch - another slimfast smoothie:crazy2:

Just fixed myself a hot bowl of oatmeal!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

 Thanks, but I did ok on my own without go so far as to get myself kicked off the DIS. I am used to sticking up for my cop, but was absolutely floored when someone said that children with disabilities shouldn't be educated and that we are just using schools as a babysitter. That is when I had to open up a DIS version of a can of Whoop ***

What a pilot! It is so nice to hear good news for a change in one of these situations.

You should have come and got me I would have helped you. My father is a retired cop and my daughter in law to be teachs FMD high school kids. We could have opened two cans.;)

Good for Tommy!!!!But I am sure he would not...

He has bought one for himself and one for her dad to wear at the rehersal. She is goign to have a fit. He swears that he is going to wear it under his tux. :lmao: He is just being difficult. I finally have my dress. It is navy and very simple. She gave it her :thumbsup2 so I am ready to go.

I need a little favor from my DIS friends.

Jesse's aunt/Godmother is going through her third Breast cancer diagnosis. She is only 38 years old with 3 young children. She cannot get chemo or radiation treatments and the doctors are not hopeful at all. Unfortunately, she doesn't have long to live.

Please keep Suzie and her family, DH Dave, DS Derrick, DD Alex, and DD MacKenzie in your thoughts and prayers.

I don't like posting stuff like this here, but how else can I get some prayers for the family if I don't ask for them?

Thanks kids.

Tons of hugs :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

So far it's been a nice break from this job, I worked 12 hours today.
There is so much I havn't done for year end I think the *&^ will hit the fan in two weeks when I am not ready for year end.

They moved us to a new p/r system- hum cap? Have you heard of it. I am creating the journal entry and HOA billings by hand. They could not even give me a report to balance to the cash, I have 13 reports to add together.
Has been a nightmare!!

That is awful. What is wrong with these companies? They make all these decisions but have no clue the work involved. Don't let them get to you. :flower3: You do what you can and that will have to be good enough. At least we have the cruise to look forward to.

OH BOY
Well I guess its just you and me for Everest. Does Roger do coasters?
This will be my first time. Nancy is a watcher:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
AS we speak Joanne its -10 degrees at Clayton Lake up north where you guys use to be it's -42 THATS COLD.

Dan

I love Everest. :hyper: Tommy can not ride. He wants too but I really do not think it is worht the risk. It is all of 6 degrees here today. Hurry up spring!

I use my slow cooker on days I work...and then I come home to the wonderful smell of dinner already done! I can understand the torture though...

Speaking of which, I have Super Easy Chicken in my slow cooker today...:goodvibes

Night to all my good friends. I am leaving for Massachusetts tomorrow early AM. I will get to Providence around 4 PM. I don't think I will be able to read the DIS there since I am not taking my computer. My mother does not have one. Walt will be home and keeping up. He will keep me up to date with all the news. Talk to you in a couple weeks. Thats if I don't freeze to death. Ha Ha. Diane

Stay safe and warm!

My weight watcher leader used to have a good tip - eat some ww soup 45 minutes before you go. By the time you're there you wont want much "bad" food, so choose what you REALLY want because a. you'll only go back for more if you choose something "healthy" and b. you want want loads becuase you've eaten your soup. I tried it and it does work.:thumbsup2

That's a good idea - I might try that!

School's closed again today, and Thomas is at Grams' house today. He was pretty happy! I'm just glad I didn't use up 2 vacation days staying home (although maybe I could have caught up on the DIS!)

The bad part is....I REALLY want to go shopping at Kohl's today after work...Thomas needs jeans, and I want to see if they have any good clearance stuff. But it's SOOO cold and I don't want to go out!!!!

What to do???:confused3 ::sad2:

Good morning all,
Just thought I'd catch up before I head out. I'm doing a half day of first grade this afternoon. Not a very good class but I can tough it out for a couple hours. Glad I didn't have to go out this morning.

Rob plays so many instruments it's not even funny and he taught himself how to play each and every one. He is extremely musical. He picked up my clarinet one day when he was about 8 years old, heard a song on the radio and within a few minutes starting playing the song. I turned over the clarinet to him and never touched it again.......:rotfl:

that's funny!

we've been there at that time a lot, but have never bought any of the foods at any of the stands. mikey no likey that fancy food.
who know what kind of different stuff they mix up in there??:rotfl2:
i'll take my chicken strips or my burger every day.
Robin probably would try the diff foods if i would.:rolleyes1
but thats not gonna happen:laughing:

Plus when were there for it we thought it was expensive for what you got - not worth it we decided.

Never- we know you spoil him.

Not sure that the right word for it!!!!!

That's ok. I can share with out new buddies, I am not paying much attention. I am watching the news... That plane crash and rescue is amazing.

Yes, the fact that all the agencies involved coordinated so quickly - but then they train for that. I'm not sure I could have been as successful as a passenger.

AFN 6:thumbsup2

No, this is just the last batch off my main card. I have no idea where it went:sad:

Thanks Di:goodvibes

:rotfl: Good idea:thumbsup2

Big in attitude aswell:rolleyes: - we get some right 'tude lately:rolleyes2

Now that's a good idea - I haven't made that soup in a long time but maybe I should. Then there's the Progresso soup although they have lots of sodium.

Good Morning All.........

I slept in this morning until 6:30, I'm so glad I took today off!!! :cool1:

Becky--I'd gladly send you some rain if you can send us warmer temps. :thumbsup2

Oh man, the smilies got changed all around again.........:rolleyes2

Our weather man said it's going to warm up into the 20's next week - warm is a relative word!

Refillable mugs :crazy2: What were you thiniking? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Now what's so controversial about that? So many worse things to get fired up about.

Ok, one more quick post before I go...

Paging Cass, or anyone else who does digital scrapbooking...can you give me a little info on what program you use and how you got started? I am thinking of switching from paper to digital but I'm not even sure where to start.

Thanks!

So, you leave your crock pot on while you're at work?

For some reason, I can't get used to this idea. I'm not really sure what I'm afraid of, since the inside of the cooker is ceramic and I put it on my Corian cutting board, which is on top of my Corian counter (I do this when I use it on the weekends).

Maybe I need more crock potters to weigh in on this issue :confused3 . Does everyone leave their crock pots on when they're not at home?
