Night to all my good friends. I am leaving for Massachusetts tomorrow early AM. I will get to Providence around 4 PM. I don't think I will be able to read the DIS there since I am not taking my computer. My mother does not have one. Walt will be home and keeping up. He will keep me up to date with all the news. Talk to you in a couple weeks. Thats if I don't freeze to death. Ha Ha. Diane

I understand the problem...we're going to a party with my coworkers Saturday night and it's a Mexican theme...the boss is bringing margarita mix! Plus all the Mexican food...

My weight watcher leader used to have a good tip - eat some ww soup 45 minutes before you go. By the time you're there you wont want much "bad" food, so choose what you REALLY want because a. you'll only go back for more if you choose something "healthy" and b. you want want loads becuase you've eaten your soup. I tried it and it does work.

Another A.F.N. here! Those little cabins can be stuffy sometimes. And some people smoke where they shouldn't - we can't take that. So yes, another A.F.N.

A miserble grey day outside with gales forecast - there goes my walk in the park

Neils back tonight but I have the inlaws over . I'm just doing a slow cooker dinner of beef goulash and dumplings. If they dont like it - tough!

Someones changed the smilies round... I'm glad these ones have moved up , but do these really need to be on page 1?

Thanks, but I did ok on my own without go so far as to get myself kicked off the DIS. I am used to sticking up for my cop, but was absolutely floored when someone said that children with disabilities shouldn't be educated and that we are just using schools as a babysitter. That is when I had to open up a DIS version of a can of Whoop ***
What a pilot! It is so nice to hear good news for a change in one of these situations.

Please my Mid West and East Coast friends (which is most of you), try and stay warm in that nasty mess you have going on. I promise I am trying to send some of our warm CA weather your way. We have been in the high 60's for a week now, LA has been in the high 80's! We do need rain here though so if you can send that our way I would appreciate it.

That's a deal Becky, although our persipitation will come in the form of snow. By the time it hits CA, it'll be rain though.

I went to the Dr today, I have a case of vertigo. Taking meds for it. I have been on how many cruises and never had to take seasickness meds, even in the rockin and rollin of Hurricane Hannah. Well guess what is the script for vertigo, seasickness pills. She said it should last 2-3 weeks and if it doesn't get better to call her. I also talked to her about gastric bypass, and she put in a referral for me. Now before you all say no, realize that on my med plan you have to go through a program and it will be a year before I can even get it. If I get it, I am going to try my best to do it on my own, but I have been heavy all of my life and well I'm tired of fighting and am starting to think I need some help.

I take the NY Waterways ferry all the time - I can't imagine what it would have been like to look up and see a plane landing in the Hudson! But they said the ferries just stopped what they were doing and headed for the plane to help get the passengers to safety. And that pilot went back through the plane 3 times to make sure no one had been left behind! Just amazing!

Robin, did you happen to hear the name of the pilot that did such a great job landing that plane and having everyone survive? It is Sully!!!! You were right on about that guy.

Hey Robin - could you explain the Sully reference? I've heard you mention him before, but I'm wondering if there is a story that goes with it. Is he the Sully from Monsters, Inc.?

Good for them. Ryan's wedding in July is going to be a big production. The Bride is already stressing out and Tommy is not helping. He has threatened to show up in a tuxedo tshirt. I thoought she was going to have a melt down.

Tommy just cracks me up! He obviously knows which buttons to push!

Nope, the taboo subject was refillable mugs. Never again will I dirty the doorstep of the General thread.

This seems backwards to me - I would hope that anyone saying mean things about cops or children with disabilities should be kicked off the board, not the other way around! Besides, aren't topics like that considered 'off topic'? I think I might have flagged those comments for a mod to take a look.

Roger went to the ticket office on base yesterday. Here is the scoop.
The military member- active duty or retires gets one free ticket. Five day- not a hopper. he can buy five more for $99.00 each. The ones he is buying for do not have to be there when he purchases, but the military member has to be there when they are activiated at WDW. You can alos buy hoppers for $145.00, but same rule at activation.

We were not going to do parks this time, but for $99.00 for the two of us how can we not- look out Dan Expedition Everest here we come!!
