My brother Rob stopped by for a quick visit as he was in the area to get his saxaphone fixed. Rob will be in Washington, DC next week playing music during some of the festivities going on down there...........

Hey everyone. Just returned back to work after going to the food bank and getting some lunch. It is very cold, and snowing lightly here. When I went to New London today, the snow was more intense at the coast. Usually, the further away from the coast the more snow. It just shows how crazy this winter weather is!

Last night Elaine and I were brainstorming about incidental expenses for the cruise and what this would cost, and that would cost, etc. I actually got her into the planning mode!

I'm doing well so far today with my steps - I'm up to almost 6000, with hours to go. I'm aiming to do the 900 I missed yesterday on top of todays 8000.

I'll do some while Ellis is on the wii this afternoon.

Am i the only crazy person that takes air freshners with them on holiday?

We take a little aerosol can eith us each holiday for the bathroom - Neil thinks I'm crazy ... no comments please .... I saw a teeny tiny one today so I bought it ready for the cruise ... Yes folks... I have actually started shopping for cruise things already. Makes it seem more real somehow. The "cruise bag" is in the corner of the spare bedroom and is half full already

Karen, I always take air freshener along...and, I've been packing for the BOB since we got off of the KK cruise. I've got a "cruise drawer" that I keep tossing stuff into.

It breaks my heart to hear things like this. I will keep her in my prayers.

I brought one of these on the PC cruise and put it in the bathroom you can set it to go off after so many minutes. You can get them at Target and Walmart

You're not the only one Karen. I bring 2-3 travel size bottles of Lysol to spray the phone, remote control, etc. and I bring a travel size air freshener, it comes in handy on the cruise in those tiny bathrooms

Make that 3 sir freshner nutters!

I always take frebreeze with me for the dirty clothes and after someone in our room uses the bathroom and it is not me.

Well, I'm chuffed with myself... I got to todays step target and also did the extra I didnt do yesterday

I'm on track

The only trouble is we're out with friends on Saturday evening for a curry.... aka "millions of calories". There are healthier choices on the menu, but I love chicken tikka masala - A creamy spicy chicken dish with a gooey sweet sauce - probably the most fattening dish on the menu ... I do only eat half of it though and doggy bag the other half.

The do a chicken shashlick at our curry house - chicken tikka pieces with onions, peppers etc but no sauce. I'll probably be good and have that

I'm taking diet coke instead of a bottle of wine

Although I will have a glass of wine in the bath before I go out and another when I get back in.
