Well people, I've got to 5500 steps today. I'll get to 6500 by the end of the day so 1500 under target, but not too bad.

I weighed myself today and I've lost 3lb this week. :cheer2: - thats pretty darned good for me. It must be that trampoline... wearing the pedometer really helps me - it makes me keep moving when I dont want to:thumbsup2

Cheap but efficient:thumbsup2

Gret Job :cheer2: :cheer2:

The passport card is good for land and sea (not air) travel between the US and Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

However, you should check with your travel insurance company regarding the use of the passport card in a medical emergency. It does appear that flights required because of medical emergencies would be exempt from the passport book requirement:

Part V
Department of
Homeland Security
Bureau of Customs and Border Protection
Department of State
8 CFR Parts 212 and 235
22 CFR Parts 41 and 53
Documents Required for Travelers
Departing From or Arriving in the United
States at Air Ports-of-Entry From Within
the Western Hemisphere; Final Rule

Comment
Three commenters expressed concern about the passport requirement and
emergencies (medical, natural disasters) that might require air transport across a border.

Response
IRTPA provides for situations in which documentation requirements may be waived on a case-by-case basis for unforeseen emergencies or ‘‘humanitarian or national interest reasons.’’ See section 7209(c)(2) of IRTPA.

Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004

SEC. 7209. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS.

(c) TECHNICAL AND CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.—After the complete implementation of the plan described in subsection (b)
(2) the President may not exercise discretion under section 215(b) of such Act (8 U.S.C. 1185(b)) to waive documentary requirements for United States citizens departing from or entering, or attempting to depart from or enter, the United States except—
(B) in the case of an unforeseen emergency in individual cases;

So you might owe me a blueberry smoothie.

Kathy you are so good!!!!

Dawg Put a crow bar in your wallet and get the real thing.:lmao:

big boy panties??:rotfl2: :lmao:
i love this girls humor:rotfl2:

but underdog goes commando.pirate: i'm kidding

It's a saying we use at work "Pull up your big boy/big girl panties and deal with it"

Well here is a TMI brother comment. My brother was the drum major for our high school band. Our outfits were replicated of the Coldstream Guards in England. John wore a kilt and well he wore it properly according to him. :scared:
Here is what it looked like (no that isn't my brother)
http://www.scarletbrigade.com/March...ws and Events/Foothill/Pictures/foothill4.JPG

I wore a mini kilt and made sure I had bloomers under it. There were a couple of girls who lost their skirts mid competition and were glad they had them on.:lmao:

Had blood work done this morning. Had to wait about an 1 1/2 hours to get my turn, and this was a fasting blood draw. Would have been slower but this kid was throwing a fit over getting his done, he was in there at least 1/2 hour screaming. Can't blame him though he did tell his mom he was going to do that.:sad2: After he was done it was my turn and the lab girls were saying that the mom had stated it took 2 hours for the kid to get his flu shot.:sad2: :sad2: There was a point where I looked at Sean and told him to just go in there and hold the kid down for them. He wouldn't do it.
So it's sit and wait for them to come back, nothing big, thyroid, cholesterol, diabetes. All that and they only took one tube.

Hey Robin! Look at the front page of the Daily News today!

Hey Robin! Look at the front page of the Daily News today!

Somehow, I pictured Robin's Sully a lot younger and more buffed........:scratchin

But I'm sure Dawg will enjoy viewing the photo of the other young lady on the cover, even if she doesn't have a red dress on......:rotfl:

hi jen mouse
if you had just the passport card and trip insurance would you be ok?
course i'm the kind of guy who wouldnt even get trip insurance if my sweet polly wouldnt insist on it.:love2:
i mean..what are the odds??:rolleyes2 :rotfl2:

Trip insurance? That's for people who don't like to live life on the edge... :scared1:

Mike, you seem like an "on the edge" kind of person to me. (In a good way, of course) :thumbsup2

I form this opinion based upon certain photos that have been shared on this board... :flower3:

Let's see, didn't I save a copy of that one...

I know that it will probably bite me sooner or later, but we didn't get trip insurance for the two cruises that we have been on so far. I do consider it each time though. The transport is the big thing. Our medical insurance is supposed to cover us out of the country for emergencies.

I need a little favor from my DIS friends.

Jesse's aunt/Godmother is going through her third Breast cancer diagnosis. She is only 38 years old with 3 young children. She cannot get chemo or radiation treatments and the doctors are not hopeful at all. Unfortunately, she doesn't have long to live.

Please keep Suzie and her family, DH Dave, DS Derrick, DD Alex, and DD MacKenzie in your thoughts and prayers.

I don't like posting stuff like this here, but how else can I get some prayers for the family if I don't ask for them?

Thanks kids.

Wishing her all the best:hug: :wizard: pixiedust: :grouphug:

I went to the Dr today, I have a case of vertigo. Taking meds for it. I have been on how many cruises and never had to take seasickness meds, even in the rockin and rollin of Hurricane Hannah. Well guess what is the script for vertigo, seasickness pills. :confused3 She said it should last 2-3 weeks and if it doesn't get better to call her. I also talked to her about gastric bypass, and she put in a referral for me. Now before you all say no, realize that on my med plan you have to go through a program and it will be a year before I can even get it. If I get it, I am going to try my best to do it on my own, but I have been heavy all of my life and well I'm tired of fighting and am starting to think I need some help.

Sorry to hear about your vertigo.
A co-worker had it and was out of work for more than a month!
He had a very bad case, and lived about 45 minutes a way so had no way to drive to and from work and he is also a carrier at the USPS, so would have had to drive and walk all day, so for him he had to stay out of work.

Also, best of luck to you Becky with the bypass surgery. It sounds like a great idea for some people. It may work wonderfully for you.

So, you leave your crock pot on while you're at work?

For some reason, I can't get used to this idea. I'm not really sure what I'm afraid of, since the inside of the cooker is ceramic and I put it on my Corian cutting board, which is on top of my Corian counter (I do this when I use it on the weekends).

Maybe I need more crock potters to weigh in on this issue :confused3 . Does everyone leave their crock pots on when they're not at home?

Yes:)

Ive had to walk away from Ellis.... he's been home 5 minutes and we're already at battle:sad2:

He just told me he doesnt know the answer to 20-19:furious: - a reception class question... not year three....he does this on purpose most Fridays,...a. because he knows it winds me up and b. because eventually I will have had enough and tell him to stop.

Well, he's got another thing coming today... he's sitting there til he remembers where he put his brain::yes::

Good luck Karen!

Mine has been the most obstinate, stubborn, know it all kid since he was old enough to talk!
And he hasn't really grown out of it.
Now that he's 18 he just tells me how I really don't know anything and he knows.... and blah blah and he makes he soooo angry sometimes!
Well, most of his life!

That's why it was rather nice for him to go to college far away:wave2:

I do miss him, but a few days to a week of college break to come home is long enough!

I hope Ellis does better than Sean with his personality skills:rolleyes:

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great Saturday. We had DirecTV installed yesterday and our DVR broke today! I called DirecTV and they are sending me a new converter. I love the service and it kills me that our living room is without service.
