Real quick before I leave. I got this from facebook in the past week or so and thought it would be fun to bring over here so we know a little more about each other. It's called 25 Random things....


1. I have two wonderful Children.
2. I have been married to a wonderful woman for almost 11 years.
3. I am a season ticket holder (partial) to the New York Yankees.
4. I am a Bleacher Creature at Yankee Stadium and hope to remain so when I finally get my 2009 package!
5. I like to take cruises. Disney Cruise Line is amazing!
6. I am a car nut
7. My first car was a 1983 Honda Prelude.
8. Someday I WILL own a Corvette!
9. I flew a plane on my own once, well the instructor was next to me, but I had hands and feet on the controls.
10. I love my dog Jasmine...a 4 year old Brittany.
11. I have been a Yankee fan all my life
12. I live 4 and 6 miles from the largest casinos in the world.
13. I love 80s Rock and Pop Music. It's the larges playlist on my iPod.
14. I have met and conversed with a President of the United States
15. The same President sent me a personal letter responding to my initial letter.
15. I don't drink coffee.
16. My breakfast consists of milk and Little Debbie Snacks or TastyCakes if I can find them!
17. I voted for Barack Obama.
18. I like flying.
19. I proudly walked into Logan Airport in Boston with an A-Rod jersey on the day after the A-Rod/Varitek fight in 2004. People were talking about me like crazy.
20. Mariano Rivera is my favorite Yankee.
21. My grandfather grew up with Whitey Ford in Astoria Queens.
22. I owned a motorcycle for one summer. I enjoyed it, but it was junk so I sold it on Ebay.
23. I am getting a Blackberry in two weeks.
24. My favorite TV show is Battlestar Galactica.
25. My wife complains that most if not all of my t shirts are Yankee t shirts.

Smarty pants - its still not snowing yet though so I got home with a single snowflake landing on me

Typing on my iPhone so I'm going to be brief--surgery is done. Mary is in recovery. Doctor optimistic he got everything. Good news. Mark will update with more detail later.

Great news

I guess I should give an update on my mom as well. My mom's surgery last Friday went well. Her foot will be in a cast until 2/23 when she goes back for her next post-op check-up. The surgeon was quite pleased when he saw my mom this past Monday. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!!

my older brother and his wife have been wanting to cruise with Robin and i for a while now. we tried to talk them into joining us on the bob cruise but they said 2010 would be better for them.

the reason i'm telling you this is because their names are...
DAN and NANCY.
i guess the bob cruise will have to make do with one danandnan.

Its to bad there not coming. that would be so funny if they could be part of it.

I am so glad that Mary is doing well. I am going to as a silly question but where do you get the cute outfits that TINK and Jack is wearing? I want a monkey in a cute little outfit for my desk.

The outfit on my monkey was from Build-a-Bear, I was just looking on their website but couldn't find it anywhere, must be discontinued.

Ok, I did some experimenting tonight...

The last time we had shake and bake chicken, Elaine and I looked at each other and our thoughts were linked for an instant, "this sucks" our glances seem to communicate with the other. The type of shake and bake we had just didn't do it for us.

So tonight, I made my own glaze to put over the chicken. I combined Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and applesauce and made my own glaze. In about 20 minutes, we will see how this experiment works out.

ooooo that sounds very yummy! I stopped using shake and bake a while back.. I make my own now.. pretty simple to make.. your imagination is your only limit!..lol

Tink's outfit is definitely from Build-A-Bear, but it might have come from the Disneyland B-A-B. Unfortunately, B-A-B has discontinued the monkeys (that's why she is from the nearly extinct monkey breed, Buildabearus Disneyus). Tink's Mom now buys her monkeys from eBay and then dresses them.

Lina made Jack Sparrow for me for my birthday in the Spring of 2007 when she was working at "Build-a-Bear."

Yes, but I know Tink's Mom bought some of the the Disney character costumes at the Disneyland B-A-B.

Well my chicken glaze was a runaway hit! Elaine told me to remember how I made it so that we can enjoy it again in the future.

I thought it was quite good too, and the kids ate all of their chicken as well.
