10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #16

Back home. Have to go back in two weeks and have a 21 year old filling replaced. Same thing happened during my last check-up 6 months ago, these old fillings are wearing out, just like me..........

The first time I went to the dentist was at age 24 when I started working for the township and my dental insurance started. Since that first visit back in 1979 we have been to the dentist at least every six months for check-ups/cleanings and whenever a cavity needed to be filled. I think I had about 10 cavities filled in the first few years of visiting the dentist. My dental insurance pays 100% for all our check-ups/cleanings (twice a year) and x-rays (once a year), it also pays 80% of the charges to have cavities filled.

My coverage is exactly the same. 100% preventative and 80% for anything else.

Well, since I've been up since 3:30 this morning (got up to go to the bathroom and couldn't get back to sleep) without a Power Nap, I think I'm going to shut down my laptop for the night and chill out until I head off to bed.

The new ones are more expensive, but you can't see them very much, if at all.

I am pretty fortunate. I have only ever had two cavities. I got my first one when I was 19.

well i lucked out there. never had braces. both kids did. and Robin got them about 10 years ago. lots of $$$$$.

WW fans: To all of you who have been discussing the new WW program - I went to a meeting today and got the new material. It doesn't look all that different. It seems to focus on finding foods that are more filling but the same points values. The leader said they took the best of core and flex and put them together, but basically the same concept. There were some new recipes - or old ones with nice new pictures!

We cruise on the Freedom 18th Jan. cant wait.

I know! I can't believe how excited I am about this trip!!! Poor Frank, I keep texting him saying 'what about this, what about that' but he's a good sport. The latest addition to the trip is a lunch ADR at Tokyo Dining the day we are in Epcot. We are both newbies when it comes to sushi - my Mother will never believe that we are eating raw fish on purpose!

Yes they are They had been debating whether they were going to go on this cruise but I just got an email from them today saying they made their decision and they're definitely coming
Now we just have to hope that Al's boss manages to keep the company afloat through these rough times so Al doesn't lose his job so we can still come. Al said his boss had a meeting with all of the employees today and things are pretty bad, he has more money going out than he has coming in For now it just means they need to really watch things and no more overtime but he's not sure how much longer he'll be able to hold on.
