Yes they are They had been debating whether they were going to go on this cruise but I just got an email from them today saying they made their decision and they're definitely coming
Now we just have to hope that Al's boss manages to keep the company afloat through these rough times so Al doesn't lose his job so we can still come. Al said his boss had a meeting with all of the employees today and things are pretty bad, he has more money going out than he has coming in For now it just means they need to really watch things and no more overtime but he's not sure how much longer he'll be able to hold on.

OMG Cheryl. I think I work for the same place! We just had the same meeting a few weeks ago. We'll know after the first quarter if we are staying open or not too. But, it is awfully hard to understand all that when the boss drives in with his new Lexus and is going skiing for 2 weeks in Colorado.

Today we learned about the Wisconsin birthday cake ritual. If someone makes you talk while you're eating your birthday cake, you have to finish it under the table. I asked if we would be practicing this ritual on our cruise and the answer was a resounding YES.

Nancy K. is celebrating her 'will ya still need me, will ya still feed me, when I'm ??' birthday onboard, so we can try to do this to her.

Yes, but remember, that's a 2.5 to 3.0 hour visit at the gym. This morning I was only able to burn 525 calories during my 1 hour workout.

Andy, what the heck do you do at the gym for 3 hours??? You must be superman cus I can barely do my 45 mins on the elliptical

OMG Cheryl. I think I work for the same place! We just had the same meeting a few weeks ago. We'll know after the first quarter if we are staying open or not too. But, it is awfully hard to understand all that when the boss drives in with his new Lexus and is going skiing for 2 weeks in Colorado.

Here too, we have down sized so much, gm's are working the front desk and cleaning rooms. The snowbirds are here now so at least the room cleaning will slow down.

sorry, good luck tonight, be tough and I hope you get some sleep. I don't remember it being tough here. Always read a book kisses & hugs, prayers and tuck them in. Keep the rest of the house almost dark so she doesn't think she is missing anything.

Al said his boss was pretty grim, he himself has 4 young children. He is really trying hard to get through this. I just hope that seniority means something to him, Al was his first employee when he started the company so if he has to let a few of the guys go I hope he keeps Al the longest. I've had a feeling this might be coming but I just didn't think it would be quite this soon. Whenever extra hours have been available, which has been a lot the last few months, I have been picking them up at work to help offset whenever Al has a layoff, so at least we have that to fall back on.

I used to work for a boss like that, always driving a new car, always take trips. But I always heard the "we have no money speech." So glad to be out of that.
