Finally got caught up!!! :thumbsup2

Got in from work a little bit ago, they let us leave a little early today!!! :goodvibes

:sad2: Had some disturbing news earlier. One of Hazel's niece's (age 19, and a twin) suffered what is believed to be a heart attack or stroke as she was walking in the door from work. Her father and brother preformed CPR and brought her back, not once, but twice. She is in ICU at our local hospital. Hazel's sister is beside herself. This is not how we wanted 2008 to end, and 2009 to begin.

The phone just rang as I was typing. Hazel's dad called and said that Hazel's niece has, was is believed to be, a cyst on her brain. Any prayers and good thoughts would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, Hazel is a bit shook up as well and is sitting by the phone waiting for any updates.

Oh my...not good news.  pixiedust: pixiedust: from the UK.

Hazel was just talking to her sister and was told that Brittany might be coming home today. Tests revealed that Brittany was suffering from chemical reactions at work. Brittany had just started a new job and it appears the chemicals she works with caused her attack. Looks like Brittany will be looking for a different job or taking better precautions. Thanks everyone for your good thoughts, prayers and :wizard: .

In one way, this was a blessing, because, the tests still revealed the cyst/tumor on her brain that needs to be taken care of. Brittany will have to see a specialist for this problem.

Andy,

DH has a small brain tumor. He has had it for years. He is undergoing an experimental treatment that is working to keep it from growing. I am so glad they found it early. With the advances in medicine and her youth she will come through the treatment great!

By the way, thanks to all the Bober's for making 2008 great. :grouphug:
Especially to Jeff, Suz, Lil Jeff, Chris, Hazel, the twins, and my new British Sis and her GOS. You guys made a trip of a lifetime even more special. Andy and Hazel for making a my first Hurricane one heck of a trip afterwards.;)
If I had only known that the rest of the year was going down hill from there, I would never had gotten off that darn ship.

Yep..I could've stayed on with you. Have some great memories though and made lifetime friends.

C U in 2009.:wave2:

Hiya Heather:goodvibes

Karen, Have fun in Disney!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Thank you - we did!

So, I just sent an e-mail off to Dreams inquiring about downgrading our Cat 7 to a Cat 12 room for the BOB cruise.

We are cutting all our costs so that we can actually go on vacation next year. :rolleyes1

I will miss that verandah but at least we will still be able to cruise with you fine folks

Youy can look through my free porthole anytime you like:goodvibes ..... (as long as you dont mind The Dawg staring straight back at you :rotfl2: )

is karen gone on her trip yet?
can we talk about her behind her back now??:lmao: :rotfl2:

just kidding karen. have a great trip!!
:santa:

:goodvibes Thanks Dawg:goodvibes

Last time we managed to snag a SPH room. In 2006 there was only a $50 difference between a 10 & 11 so we went with the 10. This time it is about $300, so we are sticking to the 11. I don't mind a whole lot. I just want to get on the ship. I would sleep in the engine room!

We found cat 11 fine. We'l hardly be in the room anyway... too many dis meets to attend:rotfl:

theres no way they'll say no to Kira.:cutie:
a free upgrade you shall have.:wizard:

or we'll all hang out with the swingers in the SPH cabins.:scared1:
you know who you are:laughing:
 swingers?,..... not me:snooty:

Happy birthday to all our January babies!party: I am working today and it is quiet so I am getting caughtup.:surfweb: I am glad everyone made it to 2009 safe and sound.

Well, happy New Year everyone! I was entertaining over 200 people for a wedding new year's party so it was a good time, in fact I think I gained a new employee last night as well!
I expect to see her on Saturday with us as well ;)
Take care everyone and catch ya in 10 months :woohoo:

Hiya Rob and Happy New Year. Good to see you on the thread again.

Good morning everyone!

I know we've been floundering on whether to sail in October or hold out for the transatlantic next year, but we're definitely still on for the BOBr sailing!!!

Good news Melody..although I still would've met up with you on the trans!:thumbsup2

just read on the news that a british pilot hits a cow during an emergency landing.:scared1: hope that wasnt karen's plane.:scared:

Wasnt my plane:confused3 ... the only cow on our plane was the miserable stewardess cow I had an arguement with over Ellis' food:rolleyes1

Well, it's official...we are now in a category 12

Come on upgrade :cool1: :woohoo: ;)

Fingers crossed for an upgrade Cass:goodvibes

Let's not forget about that shipboard credit due to the fuel surcharge being lifted...

Do we all get that?:confused3

I don't care if it's in the 30's - I'm going to see Mickey on Saturday!!! (and a bunch of other BOBers!) :yay:

It was great fun meeting you all:cool1:

Are you cruising solo?

I think we're in at $133 or so. $56 each for Suz and I and then $21 or so for DS.

Jeff - how do you get it?

You have to watch the onboard booking discounts. According to DU, to remove the surcharge, you'd have to rebook and lose them. And, if the surcharge comes back, you will be assessed it again. On the flip side, if you leave it and they don't bring it back, they are looking into givin you OBC for that amount.

Uh?:confused3

I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago....

Kira graduated from her first Gymtastics class :woohoo:

Here she is with her certificate and her 2 instructors :thumbsup2

:woohoo: Way to go Kira:woohoo:

I also have news.....I saw my doc this week and he says I can start getting back to my life. I have to see him in a couple of months after getting a C-T scan, and if that is good, he will start to wean me off of the anti-seizure meds I am taking. In 6 months, I will get an MRI and see him again, and if that is good, then I think he will release me. He told me to have a great time at WDW, but not ride anything that could make me nauseous or anything with blinking (strobe-like) lights. No problem.......:thumbsup2

:woohoo: :yay: great news Paige

 Happy New Year everyone!!

Trixie Pancake, cub reporter, bringing you the scoop on today's EPCOT DISMeet!

I, being the last to arrive, due to unforeseen circumstances let's just say HERTZ truly lived up to their name today, perhaps they should just change their name to PAINFUL so it's even more descriptive, was greeted by Mimi and Karen wildly waving their arms to get my somewhat distracted attention. (whew, talk about a run on sentence!) I also was met by Cheryl and her daughter Rachel and was informed that the men were holding down a table for us. Inside was TikiMack, Al and Neil & Ellis, who is just cute as a little button. Mimi asked Ellis what was he was looking forward to most on the cruise and he said playing with Logan! Mimi made us little tree ornaments with the BASH logo on them and Karen brought Christmas cards for all. My contribution was Godiva chocolate Santas, which Ellis seemed to really enjoy. Many pictures were taken, unfortunately, none by me, since I was lucky just to get myself there, much less the camera. So you will have to wait until someone else posts! Mimi managed to track down an adorable French CM ooo la la! who told us we had to say 'fromage' instead of 'cheese' since we were in France I just hope he waited until we got to the end of the word and not when we were all saying 'fro' because that would look pretty silly. However, that should be soon, since we are all afraid on getting on Nancy's bad side ;) . I'm so glad that I was able to make it and I can't wait to see everyone again in October!!! :woohoo:

Unfortunately, Paige & Mel and their families were not able to make it.

We had a great time:goodvibes

is it me or does that kid look a little like karens ellis?

He sort of does! - Ellis does NOT sing like him however:lmao:

Hi Everyone! Kathy - Great job on the report and the sale report!!! The sales were amazing - absolutely AMAZING!!!! I am posting a picture of the mini-meet sans Paige and Rob or Melody and Eb. This is not the most flattering picture of some of us (notice the halo over Kathy's head though - she is an angel!!!) but everyone had our French CM take one with their cameras, so maybe some of us are in different stages of fromage in some of the other pictures. :rotfl: It was really fun to saee Kathy again. I truly enjoyed meeting Karen, Neil, and Ellis as well as Cheryl, Al, and Rachel - what a beautiful young lady! It was short but sweet, and it has made me really look forward to October. Mack had a great time trying to get a soccer ball Ellis defended - the boy has skillz!!! True to form, Karen taught me some more English - England does not use cell phones but mobiles. :thumbsup2 I love learning! Our time was short, but thanks to our hosts, Kamy and Steve who plan to come on the Bash, it was WONDERful!!!!! Disney at Christmas is amazing!

Now for the meet picture -

Cool photo:cool1:

I have to laugh at the amount of chocolate wrappers by Ellis' seat:lmao:
