good nite andy.:cool2: :cool2:
we're heading to bed too. its been a busy day. and poor robin has to work tomorrow.:headache:

We had a busy day here too. Went to Kristen's house to watch kids open their gifts at 7:30 this am. GrandKids were spoiled rotten. Even kids were too. Then on to Heather's house for lunch. Great meal and enjoyed the grandkids there. They were spoiled too. Ate way too much. Turkey and all the fixings for main meal. Great cheesecake for dessert. We stayed a few hours then went back home and Kristen, Erika, Asiah and Elijah came over to open our presents to them plus eat some desserts. It was fun. After they left Walt and I ate sausage and chicken gumbo, potato salad, sweet potato, and rice. All in one bowl and it was fantastic. Walt made it. He is the bestest Louisiana cook other than his mom. Now I have caught up reading the dis for the last two days. Walt is sleeping. He has to work tomorrow too. I am pooped so I will say good night. Hope everyone had a great blessed Christmas. Hope Santa was good to everyone. Talk to you tomorrow some time. My girls and I will do some fun shopping then go to Kristen's house to watch kids enjoy their new games, toys etc. They just called and just got finished playing Rockband and now setting up the Wi Fit. Kristen got a new tv for family. 42 inch. I hear the Wi games are great to play on it. Diane

Christmas Day here was incredible - just a great time with the kids and watching them open their gifts then spending the day together. My daughter has to leave tomorrow, so I am glad we had the whole day. I feel incredibly blessed to have had this time together and another meal around the table with all of us here!

Happy Boxing Day, BOBer's

Just in case you missed Andy's link, heres another explanation to Boxing Day:

Boxing Day originated in England in the middle of the nineteenth century under Queen Victoria. December 26th, or Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and other Commonwealth countries. It is spent with family and friends at open gatherings with lots of food, fun, friendship and love. Boxing Day is so called because it was the custom on that day for tradesmen to collect their Christmas boxes or gifts in return for good and reliable service throughout the year. Boxing Day is also St. Stephen's Day. St Stephen was a little known saint who achieved eternal fame by being the first Christian to be martyred for his faith by being stoned to death shortly after Christ's crucifixion.

Have a great day everyone, what ever you might be doing.

A boxing day FO, before I GO?

Lina is up, showered, and waiting for one of her friends to pick her up. They are hitting the after Christmas Day sales. Not me, I'm getting ready for work where it will be less hetic and probably safer........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good Morning! Happy Boxing Day! I am getting very accustomed to this not working thing - I like time off! This is dangerously nice! Perhaps I need to play the lottery. :rotfl2:

Not much going on here today. I am off to practice my guitar - I'll check in later.

With Christmas done I will be able to put full consitration on it and hopefully find all the deals..lol

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and their new years is rockin! :cool1:

I came home for lunch to find out that Hazel is also out there doing the return/exchange thing today. Some of the items Lina got Hazel for Christmas were a little too big and needed to be exchanged.

Hello everyone...

We haven't ventured out yet. I am thinking we will probably go to the mall just to walk around and see if there is anything on sale.

The kids and I have been playing RockBand 2. It's cool to be able to create characters and go on tour.

I also got something that I have wanted for 30 years. Since I was a child there was a running joke in our family that I never got the Star Wars Millenium Falcon. Well, this year my sister bought it for me and Jay. Although, Jay is not allowed to play with it unless I am around! Its huge!

Hey everyone :wave2:

Well, we're half way done now :thumbsup2 Still have Ukrainian Christmas to do with Rob's family in January :scared:

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Rob just woke up and is going to brave the Boxing Day crowds :scared1:

Our Boxing Day is similar to Black Friday in regards to sales and stuff. It is the one day to either shop if you can hack it or stay very far away from any store :lmao:

Here too miss them already. DS #1 had to work today so he went to his apt last night. # 2 left this morning for Jacksonville to go to Key West tomorrow with his girlfriends family.

We had dinner Wed night for 16 - frinds & family and then yesterday again at neighbors. We are lucky to have suck good friends & family. We played games and cards after dinner.

Neighbor and I hit the stores this am. Not impressed- Target wasn't open until 7 so we went to walmart, then TJ max back to target and then the BX. BX was not opening until 11........ We were home by 9:30.

DH did his part to help the economy- we now own a big TV. He is putting all the electronics together as we speak.

Happy Boxing day and happy shopping day all.

As luck would have it, Lina bought Hazel's jeans and tops at Steve & Barry which is going out of business. So, they would not refund or exchange the items Hazel had. Since they wouldn't do that, Hazel took the clothes to the cleaners and is having someone there fix the clothes. Lina paid $24.00 for the four clothing items, it is costing me $58.00  to have the clothes fixed so Hazel can wear them.......:sad2:

Good afternoon everyone. I just set up the Wii for the kids. We played a few rounds of RockBand, and now I am syncing their iPod's.

We watched the Disney Very Merry Christmas Parade and both my sister and I feel that it was better when we were younger. There is more focus on the "national" acts and not as much on the actual parade. We always used to enjoy the behind the scenes stuff such as the ride and park previews. It just doesn't seem the same. I didn't notice my favorite feature either, the Festival of the Lion King. Could it be that it was featured while we were eating breakfast?

We recorded the parade and watched it last night. I was frustrated with how much the cameras jumped around - they didn't stay on anything long enough to get a good look. The Lion King was featured. We fast forwarded through most of the acts. Does anyone know if they only do that parade once or does it happen throughout the season?

Now that is a real bummer. They must have known they were closing & should have told people all sales were final.
