Thanks for the advice Jeff  I kind of figure she will be in a regular bed by then but not 100% sure. I plan on keeping her in a crib as long as it is safe for her. She's a good climber but hasn't showed any interest at all in climbing out of her crib yet (even when grandma accidentally left the side bar down the other night!)

My girl is just not a sleeper and I know that if she were in a bed right now, she would stay up till midnight to play or read or run around her room. :scared: As it is now, she has stopped napping. :guilty: She jumps and runs around, throws everything out of the crib, rips off the sheet, gets naked and sings :lmao: She does everything in there BUT sleep

Rob is nudging towards putting her in a big bed but I just get these icky feelings and visions of her climbing on her dresser and jumping off :scared1:

As for the stroller, perhaps I can find a second-hand stroller that is more compact but I would prefer one that you can put the back down. (Just in case hell freezes over and she actually DOES fall asleep in a stroller! :rotfl2: )

I can't remember the model number (I think the 5400) of the Combi we had (and I think we gave it away already - I'll have to check with Suz), but it not only folded down, but then in half (left to right). I was small enough to fit in an overhead bin. It would also lay almost completely flat. Umbrella strollers only have one position. This had multiple. It was one of the best purchases we made (the other is the Baby Trend backpack - it was very compact yet still very comfortable to where).

One thing you could look into for the bed on the ship if you're worried is travel "gates". They are compact but would put a little extra barrier between the bed and the floor. :thumbsup2

As for climbing on the dresser, I feel the same way with DS some times. Thinking he'll get into something he shouldn't. Never does anything bad. But as I sit here, I think back to when I was DS's age, I would jump from the upper bunk in the room to the single bed in the other corner. :rolleyes1

I know, I was so distraught at the time I was cancelling the cabins that I wasn't even thinking straight. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Just remember, it is never wise to make a hasty decision on something - good or bad. Always good to let things sit overnight and think with a clear head. :thumbsup2

Nope, you showed me your ressie, it said 12GTY, with 4 people booked. :thumbsup2

Which means you will get an 11 at the very least :goodvibes I was thinking of booking an 11 but it was $400 more than the 12 GTY!! :scared1:

$400 more? That's seems high. I always thought it was maybe up to $200. I know there is a jump from Cat 11 to Cat 10, and again to Cat 9, and usually a $400 jump from Cat 9 to Cat 8. We won't pay the $400 to go from Deck 2 mid-ship (Cat 9) to Decks 5-7 forward (Cat 8). We'd rather be mid-ship, but will go forward for an SPH.

If you remember that model # , could you let me know :thumbsup2 I will look into it because that sounds like exactly what we need! :goodvibes

I thought it was high too! But I double checked it...here's the price for our cruise for 2 adults and a child under 3...

Category 11
Standard Inside Stateroom $ 2,548.24

Category 12
Standard Inside Stateroom $ 2,148.24

But for some reason when Dreams rebooked it for me yesterday, they got a price $200 higher than the website, so I am trying to get that changed.

The long lost Bober has returned. It will take me days to get caught up so I might just start from here. My DMIL had to have surgery which she has a 40% chance of surviving. She agreed to it because she said she had nothing to lose at this point. She is a tough old bird because she not only made it through the surgery but she went home from the hospital within 3 days and is doing great. We have been taking turns staying with her but she kicked us all out yesterday because we were getting on her nerves. :lmao:

I hope I have not missed much. Any big news such as our cruise is being extended another week free. :woohoo: Oh well I can dream.

Hi Leisha :wave2: nice to hear from you! Glad to hear your MIL is doing so well - just goes to show you that sometimes the doctors don't know everything...

Let's not forget about that shipboard credit due to the fuel surcharge being lifted...

I booked through AAA and they just reduced my final payment by $56 - that's what they said fuel surcharge was. Of course, I think that would be times 4 for you.

OMG!! You're describing my kids Cass, especially the "getting naked" part. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Glad she is doing well Leisha! Finally, some good news lately!! :woohoo:

Good advice Jeff. I need to remember that myself.

Jeff, I looked at the Combi website, was yours like this one??

http://www.combistrollers.com/ProductDetails.aspx?CategoryID=3&selection=8&Children=0&productID=706

It says it has a recline on this one :thumbsup2

I've never even seen a Combi before, I wonder if they sell them here :confused3

If not, remember you have friends in the states who would be more than happy to assist.

Is this something you had to ask for Kathy? All six of us booked through AAA and would love a discount too.

:woohoo: :cool1:  We're leaving for WDW this afternoon instead of tomorrow :woohoo: :cool1:  The weather forecast for tomorrow looks so terrible I did some checking and at first it looked liek we wouldn't be able to get out until Sat. but then I and was able to get us on a flight this afternoon instead!!!!!

We will be able to make the meet at EPCOT for sure now!!!!!

I'm still doing laundry and need to finish packing so I'm signing off.

Have a Very Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Have a great time and a safe trip. It has been in the 70's here with lots of fog.

You will be getting either a credit or a lower final payment of $56/pp - depends on when they get around to you...

When I saw everyone here discussing the removal of the fuel surcharge, I called my AAA agent. She contacted Disney and they said they would be going through all the AAA reservations and either issuing a shipboard credit or reducing the final payment. Since I was one of the first people to call, they adjusted my final payment right away, as a reward for being diligent :lmao: (or so they told me!)

Welcome back- hope everything goes well. Are you having a houseful for Christmas?

I don't care if it's in the 30's - I'm going to see Mickey on Saturday!!! (and a bunch of other BOBers!) :yay:

Model 2475? Now you have me thinking. I'll have to check with Suz. It didn't look like that, but it was the tri-fold. You see a lot of the bigger Combi's (5500, 6000, 6500, etc.), but not a lot of the small ones. We used it all the time because of its size and ability to recline. I think we spent around $70-$80.

If you can't find it, let me know. I can check around here at a couple of places.

Are you cruising solo?

I think we're in at $133 or so. $56 each for Suz and I and then $21 or so for DS.

If not, remember you have friends in the states who would be more than happy to assist.

And you live a lot closer to USA Baby than I do (Pilgrim and Capitol). Although we can meet there to. :thumbsup2

You have to watch the onboard booking discounts. According to DU, to remove the surcharge, you'd have to rebook and lose them. And, if the surcharge comes back, you will be assessed it again. On the flip side, if you leave it and they don't bring it back, they are looking into givin you OBC for that amount.

Right, $56 per adult. I don't know what the kids charge is.

Welcome back- hope everything goes well. Are you having a houseful for Christmas?

We will go to Tommy's mothers on Christmas Eve and My mothers on Christmas day. They kids will show up at both places I hope. I worked from home Monday and Tuesday due to the icy roads. Megan and Jack (dog) did not seem to be happy that I interruped their sleeping time. Will the boys be home?

If you booked through AAA, they are going to adjust your final payment or give you a shipboard credit. Nancy said all 6 of them booked through AAA, not DU.
