ok Tree is built and has lights... thats a start.. will fully decorate it on Sat with the kids

I will let my christmas box pour onto everything else..lol
Yay!! Now you can breathe again now
You might not need the play pen. By then she might be able to sleep in a regular bed. Yes you will need your stroller. Too bad you couldn't leave the car seat in storage. Will you need that on the ship? Diane
We won't need it on the ship, so I will ask (very kindly) our stateroom host if they can store it for us. The did it for us on the KK cruise, but her baby seat was much smaller than the one she uses now.
Cass, isn't Kira going to be just shy of 3 when we sail? You shouldn't need the pack and play. I remember we were in Ixtapa with DS less than a month before his 3rd b-day and he slept right on a bed.
You may also want to look into a small, travel stroller. We had a great Combi that folded down like an umbrella stroller, but was a lot more versitile (sp?). Also, at age 3, they "toddle" around a lot. We would let DS walk (with a "leash") and also use a compact backpack (I think it was by Baby Trend - had decent support and was compact) when he couldn't walk.
Can't remember when DS was out of the car seat, but I think we may have stored that in the closet in the cabin.
We've been traveling with DS about 3-4 times a year since he was 3 1/2 months (Puerto Vallarta was his first trip). It got easier (and less stuff) each time. Hopefully you can cut back a little so you won't feel too cramped in your room.
Although, I remember our first cruise, a family of 4 was across the hall form us in a Cat 11 with 2 small girls, one in a pack and play. They pushed it to the side of the bed during the day and the steward pulled it out at night.
Thanks for the advice Jeff

I kind of figure she will be in a regular bed by then but not 100% sure. I plan on keeping her in a crib as long as it is safe for her. She's a good climber but hasn't showed any interest at all in climbing out of her crib yet (even when grandma accidentally left the side bar down the other night!)
My girl is just not a sleeper and I know that if she were in a bed right now, she would stay up till midnight to play or read or run around her room.

As it is now, she has stopped napping.

She jumps and runs around, throws everything out of the crib, rips off the sheet, gets naked and sings

She does everything in there BUT sleep
Rob is nudging towards putting her in a big bed but I just get these icky feelings and visions of her climbing on her dresser and jumping off
As for the stroller, perhaps I can find a second-hand stroller that is more compact but I would prefer one that you can put the back down. (Just in case hell freezes over and she actually DOES fall asleep in a stroller!

)
Cass - if you only need the car seat during the flight and the ride to the port, you are welcome to store it in my cabin during the cruise. I will have plenty of room.
Thanks Kathy

That's sweet of you

I will ask the stateroom host and if he says no, then perhaps I can take you up on your very generous offer
Go in 2010. It is cheaper than my 2007 and the BOB. They really dropped the rates for that one.
I'm surprised DU doesn't allow you to book the GTY 12. Although, I don't think
DCL does either if you have 4 people. I know people do it, just not sure how.
I didn't think you could book 4 people in a GTY 12 but Bernie was able to book it through Dreams

Just as I was telling her you CAN'T do it, she was telling me she DID do it

So much for my DCL knowledge eh Bernie??
