Good morning everyone...

To all of those en route or at WDW, Have FUN!!!

I have to shift some things around in the garage today so that I can put my minivan in for the big storms this weekend. I also just got gas for my snowblower, and will have to move it toward the front of the garage.

Oh, I also need to pick up the first 80 turkeys we are giving out. I hope I don't blow out my back, but that will most likely come on Monday when I pick up the balance 150 or so.

There are quite a few kids but if you avoid deck 5 and the character signings, you will hardly notice them.;)

I don't mind the inside room, we've done it before...just worried about the space issue with a full size stroller, car seat, play pen, etc. :scared: But yes, it saves us $1100 so that helps :thumbsup2

Cass, isn't Kira going to be just shy of 3 when we sail? You shouldn't need the pack and play. I remember we were in Ixtapa with DS less than a month before his 3rd b-day and he slept right on a bed.

You may also want to look into a small, travel stroller. We had a great Combi that folded down like an umbrella stroller, but was a lot more versitile (sp?). Also, at age 3, they "toddle" around a lot. We would let DS walk (with a "leash") and also use a compact backpack (I think it was by Baby Trend - had decent support and was compact) when he couldn't walk.

Can't remember when DS was out of the car seat, but I think we may have stored that in the closet in the cabin.

We've been traveling with DS about 3-4 times a year since he was 3 1/2 months (Puerto Vallarta was his first trip). It got easier (and less stuff) each time. Hopefully you can cut back a little so you won't feel too cramped in your room.

Although, I remember our first cruise, a family of 4 was across the hall form us in a Cat 11 with 2 small girls, one in a pack and play. They pushed it to the side of the bed during the day and the steward pulled it out at night.

Cass - if you only need the car seat during the flight and the ride to the port, you are welcome to store it in my cabin during the cruise. I will have plenty of room.

I announced on the thread that our SPH cabins were available and if anyone was interested they could contact Sue Ellen at DU, I don't know if anyone contacted her or not.

I think you would have had to coordinate a switch, like we did with Becky, before cancelling the rooms to insure that another BOBer would get them. I don't see DU releasing those rooms into the general inventory. They probably kept them for themselves or offered them to an existing Cat 10 client.

The key is to do the room switch before cancelling. I'm sure we made DU's head spin with all the moves we did when Becky dropped off. :faint:

Hi Guys--no time to chat this morning, woke up late even after going to bed early last night, starting with a bad head cold.

Have a good day all..........:wave2:

Aww feel better Andy!!

I wanted to book a GTY 12, but for some reason DU wouldn't let me. I didin't argue, I took my 11 gladly, but this cruise is $800 more than our 7 day in 2006, and we are in an 11 this time instead of a 10.

Go in 2010. It is cheaper than my 2007 and the BOB. They really dropped the rates for that one.

I'm surprised DU doesn't allow you to book the GTY 12. Although, I don't think DCL does either if you have 4 people. I know people do it, just not sure how.

When I quoted/booked I hit cat 12 with 4 people and it just went through. Everyone says I will be put into a cat 11 automaticly due to the amount of people.. why they offer it when they can't fit you in I have no clue.. just not going to argue the free "upgrade" lol :hippie:

You betcha!

The long lost Bober has returned. It will take me days to get caught up so I might just start from here. My DMIL had to have surgery which she has a 40% chance of surviving. She agreed to it because she said she had nothing to lose at this point. She is a tough old bird because she not only made it through the surgery but she went home from the hospital within 3 days and is doing great. We have been taking turns staying with her but she kicked us all out yesterday because we were getting on her nerves. :lmao:

I hope I have not missed much. Any big news such as our cruise is being extended another week free. :woohoo: Oh well I can dream.

ok Tree is built and has lights... thats a start.. will fully decorate it on Sat with the kids :thumbsup2 I will let my christmas box pour onto everything else..lol:laughing:

Yay!! Now you can breathe again now :goodvibes

You might not need the play pen. By then she might be able to sleep in a regular bed. Yes you will need your stroller. Too bad you couldn't leave the car seat in storage. Will you need that on the ship? Diane

We won't need it on the ship, so I will ask (very kindly) our stateroom host if they can store it for us. The did it for us on the KK cruise, but her baby seat was much smaller than the one she uses now.

Thanks for the advice Jeff  I kind of figure she will be in a regular bed by then but not 100% sure. I plan on keeping her in a crib as long as it is safe for her. She's a good climber but hasn't showed any interest at all in climbing out of her crib yet (even when grandma accidentally left the side bar down the other night!)

My girl is just not a sleeper and I know that if she were in a bed right now, she would stay up till midnight to play or read or run around her room. :scared: As it is now, she has stopped napping. :guilty: She jumps and runs around, throws everything out of the crib, rips off the sheet, gets naked and sings :lmao: She does everything in there BUT sleep

Rob is nudging towards putting her in a big bed but I just get these icky feelings and visions of her climbing on her dresser and jumping off :scared1:

As for the stroller, perhaps I can find a second-hand stroller that is more compact but I would prefer one that you can put the back down. (Just in case hell freezes over and she actually DOES fall asleep in a stroller! :rotfl2: )

Thanks Kathy  That's sweet of you :flower3: I will ask the stateroom host and if he says no, then perhaps I can take you up on your very generous offer :thumbsup2

I didn't think you could book 4 people in a GTY 12 but Bernie was able to book it through Dreams :thumbsup2 Just as I was telling her you CAN'T do it, she was telling me she DID do it :rolleyes1 So much for my DCL knowledge eh Bernie?? :lmao:

Sorry to hear about your MIL, but it sounds like she's doing really well, hopefully that continues! :thumbsup2

I don't think you have missed much...sadly no extended cruise

I know, I was so distraught at the time I was cancelling the cabins that I wasn't even thinking straight. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Nope, you showed me your ressie, it said 12GTY, with 4 people booked. :thumbsup2

Which means you will get an 11 at the very least :goodvibes I was thinking of booking an 11 but it was $400 more than the 12 GTY!! :scared1:
