Join the camera nutters Di:thumbsup2

Wow fantastic pictures Karen. I really enjoyed. I have been reading for 3 hours. still have 30 pages to read. I have a few errands to run today. Then be at Grandkids house for when the bus arrives. They did not want to go to school today. Then off to gymnastics with Asiah. Tonite I will catch up. I don't like to miss anything so I am reading the 100 pages I missed while in Louisiana. Diane

Thanks Di - I too read back - I dont like to miss anything:rotfl: Ellis is back at school tomorrow - he's been moaning all day about it:rolleyes:

I hope that we will all be able to do a quick B.O.B Meet at the MNSSHP. It would be great to get a group picture with everyone that is staying on for the party. Sort of the icing on the cake!

I'll be on the plane by then:sad1:

Good morning everyone...

We had the telltale phone call at 6am indicating that there was a 90 minute delay for the kids today. I guess there was some freezing rain over night. I just went out to take the dog out and get the paper, and the ice is melting already so I don't think I have to go and buy some salt right away.

Awesome pics Karen! I have been to Universal twice, Elaine and the kids once. We have never been to Islands of Adventure though. It's ok, but the experience isn't the magical experience that Disney is. We went in 2005 becauses we had free tickets from going to a Westgate Time share presentation. What had happened was we had to fly to FL early due to a nor'easter snowstorm, so we had 2 extra days in Florida that we weren't expecting.

I think I have some pics of our time there but they are 4 years old now! LOL

We went to Universal just once in 1993 I think. We talk about going again but so far haven't....... I've been meaning to ask you - what part of Portland do your folks live in? I think about it every time we go there which lately has been often.

Nancy

They live off RT 25/Brighton Ave out towards Westbrook and the Turnpike. I don't know what the neighborhood is called.

I am having a heckuva a time getting motivated at work today! 10 days off and tomorrow we leave for our annual officer's retreat in Sturbridge, MA. It is just so hard to work, but things need done, so I am gradually getting them done! Also, the kids having a delay slowed the start of the day as well.

I'm with you in the lack of motivation department, although I did manage to do so work today.

We have a Starbuck's in our building and they are making a fortune today on people trying to get jump-started! :)

I am getting things done as well, so I can't complain too much. The more I get done today, the less I have to do tomorrow before we leave!

I was looking at this picture of Roger & Joanne, Leisha & Tommy and Frank and me from the Member Cruise (the other couple, Carol & Craig are not joining us this cruise) and I noticed something I hadn't noticed before.

Now pay attention, Mikey! Notice the women in the bottom left hand corner of the photo. Yes, the one wearing the red dress! That is Ashley Brown, the original Mary Poppins on Broadway. Sorry there isn't more of her in the picture.

Evening All....even more to catch up. Back in a bit!

I actually saw a red dress before Christmas that I stopped and looked at through the window. I mentioned it to Mack and asked what he thought of it for the semi-formal night (it was short). It was nice.

Go for it, thats what I'd say.

Two photos I took on the way out

That evening we went to Bahama Breeze - I love their Jamaican patties! I had a huge Bahama Mama too!

We went to Bahama Breeze this past fall the night before we left to go to Florida for the cruise. We went back when we came home. I think this might become a tradition for us - it got us in the mood and soothed the post-cruise depression. They have a drink there I like as well. It is called the Goombay Smash - puts me in the mood for a cruise or takes me back so quickly!!!!

yum that candy looks so good. Well I am back on track today. Weight Watchers here I am. I will read my new material today. Diane

Oh good - give us all the news on Momentum please!!!!!

Well lets just see when Goofy$Ever is on the boards next. I bet it will be at least a week or two. And she talks about me? Haha. I was neglecting my duty to keep up. I had about onehundred and ninety pages to catch up on. That was my new years resolution. To post more on the DIS. So after many hours this weekend, I am now all caight up on my reading. I think I have a few more replies to do. I could have multiquoted, but I need to get some more posts. I am hoping to get more than fifteen posts this round. Lol.

No resolutions here - I won't make promises I can't keep. I did think over the course of the day though that I must stop posting so much and reading on the board so much. To be sure I have more of a life than the computer. I'm sure my husband would appreciate it if I didn't post so much too. I just enjoy getting to know everyone.

That is a great picture. She does look young there but very beautiful. How old is your daughter Mimi? Diane

Thanks Di! She is 19 now. That picture was a few years ago.

That would be great but we probably need to at least set up a tentative time and place since some of us will be doing the F&W before the MMNSSHP.

I bet they are. The last public school where I worked set up a coffee shop in the mornings. It was amazing - the special ed. students ran it, so it gave them quite valuable experience. They served different kinds of coffee with at least one Starbucks flavor available. They also made sure to have different creamers. They would even deliver to the teachers in their classrooms up to a certain time. Students were not allowed to buy, but with a student body of almost 4000, we had enough faculty and staff to keep them very busy!

Nancy - the public school kids in our county went back today. Their teachers went back last Friday. We have the luxury of scheduling as desired as long as we get our required 180 days in. I love the breaks we get! We got a whole week off at Thanksgiving. We get a week fall break (I wish the Eastern cruise were that week), we close for a conference, and we get a whole week off at Easter. We are still finished by May 27, but we do start in early August - yuck.

Good morning folks:goodvibes

Woke up to snow this morning:scared:

I need to delete some old ones from photobucket - I'm at my max:rolleyes1. My Planky trippie is still on there, but I dont wanna delete the little green guy:cutie:

We had snow today as well Karen. It was cold all day.

Why not open a new account with P bucket?

Cat in the hat ride - very spinney and made me feel icky. Also very difficult too take a blooming photo! - you just get the camera pointed at something then the stooopid car spins round:rotfl: - hence the photos are very poor and very blury!

Yep. Only been on it once and I felt very icky after. Love the decs.

I'd like you now to comapre this photo taken just after lunch

Even Neils wallet was soaked. He had to dry his money out when we got home and it affected the Disney passes that were in there too.

They took their shoes off and literally poured water out.

They got a bit wet then!:lmao:
