Too much going on at work to not keep in touch,

Went to Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom today. Weather is perfect, parks are very crowded.

Paige - So good to see you posting! I'm glad you're up to it. Karen, Cheryl (I think), and I will all be in the World or EPCOT on 12/20 - we're talking about trying to meet for a Dole Whip or Mickey bar - maybe you can join us!

Hey everyone...

I received a call a few minutes ago from a friend who manages our Emergency Disaster Canteens. The ABC show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition is just outside of our city and wants the canteen to be on set to serve to the crew and workers for the show. I just gave him our (Elaine and I) names along with two other volunteers to give to the production staff so that we can get credentials to be cleared to be on set with our canteen.

The canteen should be in place tomorrow, so it should be a fun week until Thursday when production wraps. Perhaps I will even get on the show with a quick pan of the camera. I am confident we wil be able to squeeze some time to get out there and man the canteen. It should be a fun experience.

How cool! - wear something fun like a big christmas hat and you'll be easy to spot!

Benn awake most of the night (too much on my mind) then just got back from a horrendous grocery shop - - the place was heaving - full of idiots who stop in the middle of the aisle to "chat" .. I felt like shouting "get out of the way... its my christmas eve, I have a million chores today and I'm stressed to the max"

Ellis is driving me crazy, so he's now in his room ordered to play quietly or face the wrath of the evil mother

The wicked witch and Dad will be over tomorrow so the cleaning of the house starts now ... she'll find the only bit of dust I miss and comment on every bad thing, but the more I do the less ammunition she has (well, thats the theory anyway).

Ok, my 5 minutes cuppa and Dis is over... byeeeeeeeeee

I so wish I could sleep in,

Today we are off to MGM. Still havn't decided Osborne lights or Candellight proc. I think the kids would enjoy fantasmic more. It is so different wuth three girls. Everything scares them. We had screaching in the bugs life. Peter Pan, Pooh- every thing has scary parts. Never noticed before.

But is it so cute to watch them see everything for the first time.

PS we didin't think the MVMCP was as good as the Halloween one. Castle and parade were fun, but it was way more crowded.

Hi all...

I've been so out of touch lately with my DIS friends...work is so busy I can rarely even sneak on to skim the conversation, and at home is busy getting ready for Christmas and travels!

So, a big to any DISers that need it....

And a big to everyone!

In other news, my mom 'may' be cancelling out on the BOB cruise. She's done 2 Eastern cruises on other lines, and she said that she's afraid she'll be disappointed this time because our last cruise (KK1) was SO wonderful. I can understand, but I'm also quite sad.

Good morning everyone. I am off to get my training (whatever that means) at 1:00 today for my participation in the rebuild. They want the canteen staffed 24 hrs/day from now until Wednesday evening using 6 hour shifts. I will get a shift in today sometime for sure.

Salvation Army question - Can you only marry someone in the Salvation Army? There is a guy in WI that is about to lose his job if he marries outside the SA???? What??????

That is true if the person is an officer like Elaine and myself. There have been rumblings about changing it, but nothing definitive has come out yet. Elaine and I met at The Salvation Army Officer Training College.
