Good morning everyone! How's everyone? Give me the latest!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Walt--Shrimp stew for lunch today.....:thumbsup2

I'm doing fine today. I had rough night a couple of nights ago but I have really been taking it easy and it is working. Today was my first morning waking up with no headache.:thumbsup2

I have felt all the good thoughts and prayers from y'all. I can't thank y'all enough. I'm sure Our Lady and Jesus are saying to me, "I can't believe it takes a brain tumor to put a rosary in your hand-lol." Whatever it takes, right?

Y'all should see my house. Rob has been working like a mad man every night putting up decorations. It looks like Santa threw up in here.:rotfl:

welcome back paige.:cutie:
we're sooo happy you're on the mend and still able to take your trip too.
:wizard: :wizard:

It is sooooooooooooooo nice to be home for the weekend, I'm resting all weekend too!!!!!!!

Hey everyone...

I received a call a few minutes ago from a friend who manages our Emergency Disaster Canteens. The ABC show, Extreme Makeover Home Edition is just outside of our city and wants the canteen to be on set to serve to the crew and workers for the show. I just gave him our (Elaine and I) names along with two other volunteers to give to the production staff so that we can get credentials to be cleared to be on set with our canteen.

The canteen should be in place tomorrow, so it should be a fun week until Thursday when production wraps. Perhaps I will even get on the show with a quick pan of the camera. I am confident we wil be able to squeeze some time to get out there and man the canteen. It should be a fun experience.

Wow, that sounds cool Chris! How does this work - do they make some sort of donation?

I will still be doing my morning workouts on Saturday and Sunday, just not planning on doing a whole lot else this weekend!!! I'm one tired pup!!! ;)

ok for starters a big "YOU ROCK" to Cass :cheer2: :cheer2: who spent 5 hours yesterday filling my head with as much info as possible (still processing it all!) and for a fantastic supper.

Secondly I just major scored on a 60 gig hard drive camcorder as a gift from work!! I love my job and everyone i work with.. I am truley lucky to have found such a wonderful place!

ok now bad news is we had the suv washed today and truley saw the damage done by the "backup hit and run guy" :sad2: he took paint off and that means we have to get some touch up paint or something to fix it or it will rust. The officer that took our statement said to not hold our breath about his insurence covering any of it. So I guess we wait and hope.

But all in all everything is going well.. 3/4 done my christmas shopping :thumbsup2

I have only heard stuff via a 3rd party (my friend). It sounds like they provide all of the food and beverages, they just want the equipment (the canteen) to serve it.

Nighty-Night Good People............:wave2:

Wow Heather, I think you're right! Maybe you should claim the '$50 Bzillion Reward', although I'm not sure how many pounds that would be :lmao:

Yummy! Chocolate is always the perfect gift, especially when you take the time to chose the perfect gift for everyone!

My German grandma used to make lebkuchen :cloud9: and stollen at Christmas time. Loved the cookies but not so much the stollen... My grandparents also used to get stollen sent to them by the German relatives - it was kind of the equivalent of a Christmas fruit cake.

Thanks for the memory...

I saw the Christmas stollen today at World Market. The kids would not like it. It is too fruity. Walt and I had stollen in freezer. My daughter made me a German basket last year. It was full of great german goodies. We would cut alittle piece every now and then. It is not the best thing for us since we need to watch our waistlines. Di

Good evening everyone. Our son says thank you! We had a great time with him at dinner and had a blast watching him open birthday presents. He is going out to ski in Utah and Co next week, so we gave him telephoto and wide lenses for his camera as his main present. Have a good night, All - I am off to make some more plans for pur trip to the World. We have a CP dining package ressie, but I am not sure I am happy with it, so we are looking at other options. The good news is MK is open till midnight the day we are there, so we will hop all over and still have plenty of time there.

Salvation Army question - Can you only marry someone in the Salvation Army? There is a guy in WI that is about to lose his job if he marries outside the SA???? What??????
