Paige so great to see you on here, and even better news that you are still going on vacation, I was wondering about that!

Oh and
Happy 107th Birthday to Walt Disney!

Oh, yes, she'll make potato salad as well. Tomorrow we'll turn the stew into gumbo and of course add boiled eggs.....She is flying home tomorrow, and then my military family takes over. Dinners will start on Sunday evening and will continue until we leave for WDW on the 18th.......

Wow, that's fabulous! Semper Fi! The Corps has always been there for my family when we needed it! And I'm so glad you are going to be able to make the Christmas trip to WDW - you'll have a lot to celebrate this year! :santa:

I'm doing fine today. I had rough night a couple of nights ago but I have really been taking it easy and it is working. Today was my first morning waking up with no headache.:thumbsup2

That's great! It's only been a couple of weeks, right!

I have felt all the good thoughts and prayers from y'all. I can't thank y'all enough. I'm sure Our Lady and Jesus are saying to me, "I can't believe it takes a brain tumor to put a rosary in your hand-lol." Whatever it takes, right?

Can Frank call off the old ladies at the Adult Day Care Center now??? :lmao:

Y'all should see my house. Rob has been working like a mad man every night putting up decorations. It looks like Santa threw up in here.:rotfl:

Sounds great! Maybe you should take the National Lampoon Christmas Vacation DVD away from him now... :)

But Cass, she'd make a nice foot rest ....AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HOT TUB!
I'm thinking we could use her sharp teeth to get the calouses off of our feet, and then her rough elbows as an emory board to get all the loose skin off of our heels. :goodvibes

I agree Nancy. Keep Big Red at the bottom of the hot tub. Diane

Isn't it great how our military families help out. When my youngest daughter had hepatitis while my ex was in the Sinai everyone offered to help me and oldest daughter. Diane

Good afternoon everyone. I am just taking a quick break in what is becoming a CRAZY day. I am just sitting at my desk for a few minutes before I have to get back in the car and run to Hartford to pick up some paperwork. Then after that my regular running around begins!

Glad to hear you are slowly getting back on your feet Paige! Take it easy.

Hi Paige
So glad to hear that you are on the mend. We kept thinking about you. Sounds like you are being well looked after with your family.
You are still going on holiday on the 18th, good for you, hope you have a great time and rest.

Happy birthday J.R.:goodvibes :bday: party:

:bday: Happy Birthday to My Pancake Nephew, J.R.! :bday:

That sounds like a lot of fun! And I'm looking forward to those Mickey bars! Dan says you shouldn't be worrying about work at WDW but it's OK to use the computer to check in on this board.

Great big Happy Birthday to DS! Will you feed him pancakes for breakfast?!!!:wizard::cake:
Thanks for the birthday wishes for our son! I will tell him tonight at dinner. Funny you should mention the pancakes - I used to always make the kids pancakes on their birthday that spelled out I LOVE YOU and their name. No, they don't get pancakes now that they aren't at home.

St Nick's Day
I just finished my St Nick's shopping. I just sent a little package in the mail to my daughter Erika in Dallas. She was born in Nurembourg, Germany in 1979. I sent her a package of German Ritter chocolate bars. It's a variety pkg. My kids favorite was a yohgurt/chocolate bar in Germany and that particular package had one in it. They are little bite size bars. She will enjoy since she is a weight watcher and needs to count points/calories. I also sent her a little bag of Lebukuchen cookies (sp) plus a bag of Gummie frogs. She will enjoy and get it on Monday alittle late but better late than never. I bought same cookies and candy for oldest daughter Kristen. For the grandkids Elijah and Asiah I bought candy chocolate money, gummies (sweet and sour), a little bag of german candy that my kids loved when we lived there. It is a variety pkg of santa, bell, ornaments etc. I know they will enjoy. I also bought Walt alittle treat that I had when I lived in Nurembourg during the cold nights. Can't wait for St. Nick's Day now. He comes tonite. I am ready. :cool1: :cheer2: Diane

Paige - So good to see you posting! I'm glad you're up to it. Karen, Cheryl (I think), and I will all be in the World or EPCOT on 12/20 - we're talking about trying to meet for a Dole Whip or Mickey bar - maybe you can join us!

Wow Heather, I think you're right! Maybe you should claim the '$50 Bzillion Reward', although I'm not sure how many pounds that would be :lmao:

Yummy! Chocolate is always the perfect gift, especially when you take the time to chose the perfect gift for everyone!

My German grandma used to make lebkuchen :cloud9: and stollen at Christmas time. Loved the cookies but not so much the stollen... My grandparents also used to get stollen sent to them by the German relatives - it was kind of the equivalent of a Christmas fruit cake.

Thanks for the memory...

Sorry hun, Big Red is NOT allowed in the hot tub...we will throw her overboard if we see her :rolleyes1

Right ladies? ;)

:rotfl2: :lmao:
if RED is at the bottom of the hot tub, i'll wager she's wearing goggles looking for buried treasure.:rotfl2: :lmao:
